  • Ekka Raja Rani review :

A tired and disinterested Vinod Khanna plays Godfather (replete with its classic theme tune) to Govinda but hell breaks loose when both of them fall in love with the same lady - Ayesha Jhulka.

I saw Ekka Raja Rani at Paradise cinema Mahim for my college crush Ayesha Jhulka. She was the main lead with two heroes wooing her but the movie, itself was so bad, that it only harmed her career further.

Indeed, there is nothing in Ekka Raja Rani worth a recommendation. Even Nadeem Shravan's music score is underwhelming, to say the least. A handsome guy like Vinod Khanna appears so down and out here, you wish you didn't have to see him in this avatar. Give me Imtihaan (1974) or Insaaf (1987) any day. Ekka Raja Rani is not worth playing with..

Ekka Raja Rani is a musical, love triangle movie with some comedy and little action in climax

It stars Vinod Khanna, Ayesha Jhulka, Govinda and Ashwini Bhave with Tinnu Anand as the villain

The story revolves around Vinod Khanna who in a span of five years becomes Mumbai's no 1 and most dreaded don who has many enemies. One day his life is saved by unemployed Ayesha Jhulka. After saving his life, Vinod brings her home as she has no house where his step-brother Govinda falls for Ayesha. Soon, Vinod falls in love with her too and proposes marriage to her on her birthday but she already falls in love with Govinda. Enraged, Vinod kicks both of them out of his house. This allows Tinnu Anand to create more misconception between them so they both are willing to murder each other. However, like every Hindi movie the misconception is erased and they finish off the villain and his henches.

Boring movie but very good songs

i'm sorry to say but dear Vinod was too old to play his character however he did a good job

the movie in total is around 135 minutes and the songs last in total 74 mins approx So, a very short movie (61 mins long)
  • Govinda showing his impressive acting skills that no one can match. Vinod khanna is great as the DON. The villains is not good with paresh looking more like a henchman, but as his role is small itbso doesn't affect the movie. Songs are great. Overall this is not one the well known govinda movies but still is good. Young actors should watxh govinda and learn he is better than even amitabh.
