Hey guys! Jeff Victor created a couple new pieces for his ongoing “Evolution” art series! These represent some of the famous movie characters played by Harrison Ford and Samuel L. Jackson. I’ll also use this as an opportunity to tell you that Victor has started a Kickstarter campaign for his awesome new art book, Adorkable, that is a must own if you're a fan of his stuff. If you want to donate and help him out, click here.
For the Harrison Ford piece above, Victor says:
“This one is of one of my favorite actors of all time- Harrison Ford. His portrayals of Han Solo and Indiana Jones are legendary, but he's also an accomplished dramatic actor in such films as Witness and the Fugitive. I tried to give a good overview of his career, choosing his most iconic roles. Which is your favorite Harrison Ford movie? Lemme know in the comments!

In the spirit of Halloween, artist Jeff Victor created a new "Evolution" art character series. In his signature style he gives us several vampires that we've seen in the movies over the years. I've been a huge fan of vampires since I was a kid. I even did a Growing Up Geek editorial on it. I've always thought the creepiest vampire ever was in Nosferatu, I have yet to see a vampire beat that. Here's what Jeff had to say about his piece:
"Happy Halloween everyone! For a spooky treat, I wanted to track the progression of how vampires have evolved in films from the terrifyingly ratlike Nosferatu to the near-superhero Dracula of this year's Dracula Untold. Vampires have often bounced between comedy and horror, and I tried to represent as many different iterations of this as possible. How did I do? Which movie vampires would you have included?"

This extraordinary piece of Robin Williams tribute art was created by Jeff Victor. It features cartoon versions of several characters that Williams has portrayed over the the years in TV and film. The artist shared his thoughts about Williams in the statement below.
"My tribute to the illustrious career of Robin Williams. Obviously, there are many, many more movies that could be included in this piece, but I tried to represent as many highlights as I could. This particular Evolution was quite emotional to draw. Williams' work was so meaningful to me, and a big part of my childhood. His death is a loss for us all. I'm not very eloquent at eulogizing, so hopefully my art will speak for itself and remind you of the joy you felt watching his films.
"I am selling this piece as a print here, and for every copy I sell, I am donating $5.00 to the St.

Robert De Niro puts his own spin on Wrecking Ball, The Simpsons tackle The Hobbit and Pentatonix sing Beyoncé
Our theme this week is youth and we start with some of the greatest veterans of the silver screen reading the words of some of the most popular young music artists of the day. While Morgan Freeeman puts his own spin on Ylvis's The Fox, Robert De Niro tackles Miley Cyrus's Wrecking Ball, Kevin Kline recites One Direction's Best Song Ever and Michael Douglas gets stuck into Chinese Food. Stick with it for a Ylvis/Freeman mash-up at the end of the clip, which promotes the film Las Vegas, which has the theme of recapturing youth.
For an extremely young reaction to a musical performance, check out the Emotional Baby clip – very, very cute. It won't be long before that baby is playing with Lego. We've got an exclusive...

Artist Jeff Victor has created another fantastic piece of cartoon style evolution tribute art for a pop culture icon. This time it's Bryan Cranston's Walter White from the incredible series Breaking Bad, and it shows us the evolution of the character's descent into villainy. Here's a note from the artist,
...and just like that, the best show on TV right now comes to a close. I remember being blown away by the very first episode six years ago, and now, after seeing the finale, I realize what a masterpiece the whole show has become. Walter White is one of the most fascinating characters ever shown on screen, and Brian Cranston's performance is nothing short of a revelation. I wanted to honor him, and the show with my latest Evolution. Thank you Bb, for all the great memories!

Over the years, we've featured many pieces of movie character art from Jeff Victor. The guy has a great, fun style. I've especially enjoyed his Evolution series in which he takes an actor or pop culture figure and gives them a cartoon style rundown of the characters they've played in films over the year.
I just wanted to let you all know that he's got an art book coming out that he Kickstarted! The book is called Wicked Crispy: The Art of Jeff Victor, and as you might expect, it's packed full of his awesome art! It will feature all of his best work, including some new never before seen stuff!
I've included the Kickstarter video he made below, and a few of the pages from the book that he posted on his site. If you want to donate and help him out there's still time, just click here!

You probably know artist Jeff Victor from his Cartoon Style Evolution series of character art that pays tribute to the careers of various actors. This time he sets his focus on the moviegoing experience itself, the Bad experiences to be specific. Here is Jeff's explanation of the piece:
This isn't representative of one instance, but an amalgam of the many times I go out to the movie theaters in La. For a city that is the most closely associated with Hollywood and film, theater goers here are very often incredibly disrespectful and can't seem to watch a movie without texting, chatting, or any number of annoying activities. As a film buff, it's incredibly sad to see the theater is no longer the sacred ground it used to be. Now it just seems people can barely tear themselves away from their phones for two hours. In addition to the ever-escalating prices,...

Artist Jeff Victor has created another great piece of movie character evolution art. This time he focuses on one character from the Star Wars universe... Luke Skywalker. It shows us the various stages of character development that he went through in the original trilogy that took him from a whiney boy to a whiney badass. Here's a note from the artist...
This piece will debut at Gallery Nucleus' May 4th Star Wars art gallery. If you live in La, I hope you'll come check it out! This piece is unique, as it's the first Evolution I did that I painted traditionally, not digitally.
The piece turned out really cool! To see the artist's previous evolutions of Johnny Depp Click Here, for Natalie Portman Click Here, for Tom Hanks Click Here, for Stanely Kubrick Click Here, for Charlize Theron Click Here, for Jim Carrey Click Here, for Gary Oldman Click Here,...

Jim Carrey's career has sure gone down hill over the years. Remember when the guy used to be freakin' hilarious?! I still enjoy watching his earlier films, Dumber and Dumber being one of my favorites. But lately the guy just sems to be picking bad projects. It's been years since he's been in a film that I'd be excited about. He will be in Kick-Ass 2, which I think is a great career move for him right now, and I'm looking forward to seeing him in it.
This is another great cartoon style tribute from artist Jeff Victor paying tribute to Carrey's career, and here's what he had to say about the actor...
Allll-righty then! For my newest 'Evolution', I thought I would tackle one of my favorite comedians, Jim Carrey. I tried to draw his most iconic roles, though picking just 9 was a challenge. (Truman Burbank...

I’ll never forget a conversation I had 15 years ago with paleontologist Stephen Jay Gould. He told me and several colleagues that he was basically tired of environmentalists talking about "saving the planet." He flung his arms wide and told us that "... if the history of the Earth is my wingspan, all of human history would represent a sliver of my fingernail."His point? "The planet will be fine…it will just turn into something not so good for people.” So, we should stop talking about saving the planet and start talking about saving ourselves. We’ve enjoyed great progress in recent years toward understanding and accounting for the value nature provides to people--not just the social and emotional values we’re accustomed to hearing about, but also the hard economic values of nature’s services. In Nepal, tiger tourism accounts for 50% of the revenue some local communities bring in each year.

Taylor Lautner got his start in the world of martial arts long before finding fame as a werewolf in the "Twilight Saga," and now the 17-year-old will get to display his combat skills in the action flick "Cancun," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The film, produced by "New Moon" studio Summit Entertainment in conjunction with Lautner's production company, Tailor Made, is being described as "Taken" meets "Die Hard," Variety reports. Tailor Made was formed by the actor and his dad, Dan Lautner, with Temple Hill partners Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen.
Lautner is a fan of 2008's "Taken," starring Liam Neeson, and wanted to make a similar film. And the project provides Lautner the opportunity to display his skills in extreme martial arts. "We wanted to continue...

"Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs"
The Box-Office Top Five
#1 "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" ($30.1 million)
#2 "The Informant!" ($10.5 million)
#3 "Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All by Myself" ($10.1 million)
#4 "Love Happens" ($8.5 million)
#5 "Jennifer's Body" ($6.8 million)
"Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" enjoyed a delicious first-place finish for its opening weekend at the box office. The Sony Pictures Animation film — currently the company's third and most widely regarded animated feature by critics and moviegoers alike — earned $30.1 million, solidifying its status as the highest opening weekend take for any film in September this year.
Additionally, the success of "Meatballs" lands the movie way out in front of "9," the Focus Features computer-animated film that premiered last weekend and depicts a world where humanity is extinct and nine living dolls are left to save the day.

Amber Heard and Odette Yustman have signed on to star in "And Soon the Darkness," a remake of the 1970 British thriller being co-produced and co-financed by Studio Canal.
Heard also is making her first foray into producer territory, acting as a co-producer on the film, which marks the feature directorial debut of commercials helmer Marcos Efron.
Set in Argentina, "Darkness" tells the story of two American girls on a bike-riding trip in a remote part of the country. When one of them goes missing, the other must find her before darkness falls and her worst fears are realized.
The original was set in France and tackled the idea of how vulnerable a stranger in a strange land can be.
The new "Darkness" will shoot in Argentina.
Abandon Pictures also is financing the film. Lizzie Friedman, Karen Lauder, Deborah Marcus and Chris Clark are producing. Flora Fernandez is an executive producer.
