This summer's Survivor... Enjoyable Show..
Although I think Survivor is a much better overall series, I do enjoy American Idol. I think that Simon is the best part about the show because he IS honest and without him the show wouldn't be worth watching. Its funny to see terrible auditions, but there are some talented people that got through, although its quite dumb how some people got the "sympathy" vote only because Simon was too "mean" for them. How can someone go that far without some criticism. I do agree that him calling people "losers" is going a bit too far, but the guy is honest, you have to give him that. The thing I dont really like about American Idol is that unlike Survivor, they drag it out so much, its almost pathetic. I mean, first they have the top 30- ten at a time and then they choose the "wild card", judges choice. Then they go to the final ten and 2 by 2 they are voted out and finally we have our "American Idol". I'm not a mind reader of course, but I can really see the winner becoming "famous" or "semi famous" only because of this show and not their raw talent. Oh well, its fun to watch when there's nothing much on.
