It appears that late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is a bit of a gambling man! In a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host admitted he bet on actress Zendaya to win Dancing With The Stars.
The Dune actress competed in DWTS Season 16 when she was just 16 years old. At the time, she was the youngest competitor the show had ever seen. She and her professional dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy finished in second place behind Derek Hough and Kellie Pickler.
Although Zendaya didn’t win her season, she reportedly still won quite a bit of money for Jimmy Kimmel. Keep reading to see what the talk show host had to say.

Next week is shaping up to be particularly quiet one in late night, with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night With Seth Meyers, and Saturday Night Live still on an extended Spring break, and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert set to join them.
That will leave just three shows producing new episodes: Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Daily Show, and After Midnight.
That’s not to say that the others will be out on the beach drinking Mai Tais. Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers were both in Los Angeles this past week participating in promotional events for their shows, and Colbert will be following in their footsteps Sunday, as he and The Late Show team are scheduled to talk up their show at LA’s Dolby Theater as part of this year’s PaleyFest.
Meanwhile, at least a half dozen SNL cast members are out on the road.

Zendaya offered a glimpse into her relationship with Tom Holland.
The two-time Emmy-winning actress stopped Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday to promote her upcoming film Challengers, when she was asked if she had ever received a speeding ticket or moving violation. She admitted she hadn’t but came close once.
“Tom and I were rushing to a spin class … with my mother,” she told the late night host. “I was not going to do the spin class. He was going to do the spin class because I don’t do that. But we were going a little fast because we were running late.”
However, when they were pulled over for speeding, they were able to circumvent the ticket. “They recognized that he was Spider-Man, and we were fine,” she explained, with a laugh. “We got a warning, and everything was Ok.”

More than two decades later, it’s hard to imagine anyone but Devon Sawa playing the titular role in the unforgettable music video for Eminem’s 2000 classic, “Stan,” but the actor has revealed Macaulay Culkin was the first choice to star in the visual.
“They went out to Macaulay Culkin first,” Sawa told Entertainment Tonight in a recent interview. “I think that they wanted him, and he wasn’t available, or didn’t want to do it or whatever.”
Thankfully for Sawa, Dr. Dre (who directed the video) was a fan of his work in Final Destination and suggested him instead. “There happened to be somebody in the casting office that knew somebody who was friends with me, and they called me that way… and it ended up working out pretty good,” Sawa explained, adding that the video was “one of the proudest things I’ve been a part of.

Former President Donald Trump was roundly mocked on late night television for an error-laden social media post in which he confused Jimmy Kimmel and Al Pacino as the presenter of this year’s best picture Oscar.
On Wednesday, the presumptive Republican nominee for president drew some attention away from his hush money trial, which is now in the jury selection process in Manhattan, with a post on his Truth Social platform in which he reignited a feud with Kimmel, who hosted the Oscar ceremony March 10, more than five weeks ago.
In part, Trump posted: “Stupid Jimmy Kimmel, who still hasn’t recovered from his horrendous performance and big ratings drop as Host of The Academy Awards, especially when he showed he suffered from Tds, commonly known as Trump Derangement Syndrome, to the entire World by reading on air my Truth about how bad a job he was doing that night,...

Donald Trump has weighed in, five weeks later, on Jimmy Kimmel’s recent turn as Oscars host — and his rant has Kimmel tempted to emcee the awards show once again.
On Wednesday morning, amidst his recently commenced criminal trial, Trump fired off a Truth Social post about “Stupid Jimmy Kimmel,” first incorrectly claiming that this year’s Oscars telecast suffered a “big ratings drop” with Kimmel as host. (The show actually drew its largest audience in four years.)

Missed Wednesday’s late-night monologues? We’ve got you covered with our round-up of the night’s best laughs from across the dial.
Late-Night Beat Down
The old saying goes, “If you come at the king, you best not miss.” That could likely be adapted to the late-night motto, “If you come for someone paid to tell jokes about you for a living, you’d best have some decent jokes of your own—or at least a competent fact-checker.” Sadly for Donald Trump, his recent decision to attack Jimmy Kimmel Live! and recent Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel demonstrated a serious lack of both comic ammunition and accuracy, as Trump’s social media shot blew up in his face on Wednesday.
Kimmel, naturally, was delighted to spend most of his Wednesday monologue breaking down every facet of Trump’s error-filled, occasionally all-caps tirade (with late-night colleague and podcast partner Stephen Colbert...

Jimmy Kimmel may have lost a vice president, but he’s gaining a Southern rocker.
While Kamala Harris had to take a raincheck on her planned Tuesday appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, it turns out hers wasn’t the only special visit the host had planned this week. As Variety reports, Kimmel is resurrecting his outdoor concert stage on Wednesday with Chris Stapleton as his first performer.
Kimmel’s al fresco stage, which is located in the parking lot behind his Hollywood studio, has the capacity to hold more than 1,000 concert-goers and has featured an all-star lineup of artists in the past. Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Elton John, Prince, No Doubt, Usher, and Snoop Dogg are just a few of the performers who have entertained Kimmel’s crowd over the years. But this week’s performance will mark the first in more than four years.

She was scheduled to sit down with Jimmy Kimmel Tuesday night, but with official business cutting her trip to Los Angeles short, Kamala Harris is giving the ABC late-night host a rain check instead
It wasn’t immediately clear why is Harris headed back to Washington ahead of schedule, but insiders say her interview with Kimmel will be rescheduled for a later date.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” has been postponed.
The VP will no longer appear on the late night show on Tuesday, April 16, and the appearance is set to be rescheduled to a later date, according to an individual with knowledge of the decision.

Note: LateNighter generally posts late night weekly live-plus-seven quarterly ratings on a seven (business) day delay, which is how they are released by Nielsen.
Final Q1 2024 Nielsen data has arrived, and a familiar offering has held steady at the top of the late-night ratings heap: CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Excluding repeats, The Late Show averaged 2,586,000 total viewers and 288,000 P18-49 viewers in the opening quarter of 2024, per Nielsen live-plus-seven-day data. That’s No. 1 among all late-night shows in those respective measurements. The Colbert-led offering shed -1% in total viewers but gained +2% in P18-49 viewers from the previous quarter (Q4 2023), but dropped -9% in total viewers and -11% in P18-49 viewers from Q1 2023; as late-night seemingly follows the linear TV-wide trend of year-over-year ratings decline.

In case we needed yet one more reminder that the late-night wars of old have long since passed the Armistice stage, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel is set to welcome NBC’s Seth Meyers to his late-night program tonight.
While it’ll be Meyers’ first visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, by now the two late-night hosts are well-acquainted. Together they were two-fifths of last year’s Strike Force Five podcast, where they helped raise funds for their staff during the WGA strike.
Separately, the two hosts have also both released children’s books in recent years, memorably joining forces to help promote each others books.
Meyers, who’s on a two week break from Late Night, has plenty of projects to promote beyond his own show.
He recently produced the Peacock documentary Good One: A Show About Jokes, which follows follows comedian Mike Birbiglia on the road as he builds a new comedy set.

I have always admired Joey King’s fashion sense, which combines chic, bold, carefree, and romantic elements. Whether she’s gracing the red carpet or casually attending morning shows, her stylish ensembles consistently exude confidence and individuality.

Imagine your past dark moments in life being used as a joke in front of thousands of people while you sit in the audience unable to do anything.
That’s exactly what happened last month March 10 at the 2024 Oscars which took place at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
At the 96th Academy Awards, the host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Jimmy Kimmel had the honor to host the event but during his opening monologue, Jimmy dropped some very uncomfortable comments about the “Iron Man” Robert Downey Junior’s well-known substance abuse past.
While the actor who was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his outstanding performance as Lewis Strauss in “Oppenheimer” didn’t say anything concerning Jimmy’s jokes, he finally broke his silence in a recent interview with “Esquire” published April 8.
It turns out that although Robert looked uncomfortable at the Oscars during Jimmy’s jokes, he didn’t take it to heart.

Tom Hiddleston is reflecting on 14 years of portraying Loki in Marvel films and television shows and admits he isn’t sure whether he’ll return to the role.
The actor stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday to promote the news that his series, The Night Manager, was returning for two more seasons after taking an eight-year break. While on the late night show, the host asked Hiddleston if he knew when he was cast in the role of Loki that he would be playing him for as long as he has.
“I had no idea, and every time someone says that [it’s been 14 years], it kind of blows my mind because when I was cast in 2009, I was 28, and I’m 43 now, and that’s a big chunk of my adult life I’ve been playing this amazing character,” the Thor star said. “It’s changed the course of my life completely.

Exclusive: Vice President Kamala Harris is heading back to late-night.
Deadline understands that Harris will appear as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday April 16.
It is her latest appearance on the ABC show; Harris previously appeared on Kimmel’s show in March 2019, when she was running for top office.
During that appearance, she talked about the campaign trail, said “age is more than a chronological fact” when asked whether Biden or Senator Bernie Sanders were too old to run for President, and noted that she was “open to the discussion” of getting rid of the Electoral college.
Kimmel has previously defended Vice President Harris’ low approval ratings, blaming “sexism and racism”.
Last year, Harris appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and in 2022 made her first late-night appearance since becoming VP on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where she talked up her administration’s plans to fight climate change,...

Freddie Highmore decided to return to his Charlie and the Chocolate Factory character in a new spoof, however, the legendary factory was looking less like a chocolate wonderland and more like the failed fan experience.
During the actor’s recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he jokingly debuted the trailer for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Part Two, which sees Charlie Bucket giving two children a tour of the candy factory that he got from Johnny Depp’s Willy Wonka in the 2005 movie.
“Hello, children! My name is Charlie Bucket and welcome to my chocolate factory,” Highmore said as a greenscreen behind him fell down, revealing a sparsely decorated building that resembled the now-infamous Willy Wonka-themed immersive experience in the U.K. that reportedly left children in tears. “Pretty sweet, huh?” the actor added in the clip.

Jimmy Kimmel was criticized for joking about Robert Downey Jr.’s past issues with drug addiction at his otherwise well-received fourth hosting stint at last month’s Oscars, but Downey himself apparently he wasn’t offended.
In the awards show’s opening monologue, Kimmel joked “this is the highest point of Robert Downey Jr.’s long and illustrious career. Well, one of the highest points.”
Downey took the joke in stride. When he responded by touching his finger to his nose, Kimmel doubled down. “Was that ‘too on the nose,’ or was that a drug motion you made?”
In a new interview with Esquire, Downey was asked to comment on the joke. His reply was simple: “I don’t care. I love Jimmy Kimmel. I think he’s a national treasure.”
The two have a long history. Downey has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! 11 times since 2008.

Ashton Kutcher and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs have a friendship that spans decades. They developed a friendship after Kutcher planned to put Combs on Punk’d. Now, we’re looking back at an old interview of Combs and Kutcher in light of Homeland Security raiding two of Combs’ properties in March 2024. Here’s what Kutcher once said about Combs lacking “humility.”
Ashton Kutcher described a time when Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs refused to show ‘humility’

When James Corden bid farewell to hosting The Late Late Show last year, he would later learn that many believed he was actually fired from the gig.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, the former late night host reflected on how life in London has been since walking away from hosting duties.
“You don’t understand how institutionalized you are. It’s extraordinary. But it’s like, you’re institutionalized in a world where you get a standing ovation at the end of every day. And that is — what I’ve realized — is it’s really bad for you,” he told Jimmy Kimmel.
After he and his family returned to the U.K. post-show — a decision Corden said was made so his children could be closer to family — he admitted that though “people are very nice … no one believes that I wasn’t fired.”

No fandom has seen death quite like the fandom of Game of Thrones. Neither the widely popular television series nor the source material ever shied away from killing people left and right. While some deaths were too gut-wrenching to watch and made viewers shed some serious tears, others were quite satisfying to watch, to say the least.
A still from Game of Thrones
It’s always good to see the bad guys finally pay the price of their actions with their lives. Bonus points if the death ends up being as gruesome as possible and Game of Thrones is no stranger to this. From Viserys Targaryen to Tywin Lannister, the series rewarded fans with some of the most satisfying deaths to have graced the television industry but which death did the Game of Thrones creators find to be the best amongst them all?

Regina King and Jimmy Kimmel had a bittersweet moment Thursday night during their first interview together since the death of her son more than two years ago.
The Oscar-winning actress made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and was greeted by the host, “It’s very good to see you. How are you doing right now?”
King responded with a smile, “Right now, I’m good.”
“Good, I’m glad to hear that,” Kimmel said as he attempted to hold back tears. “I know you’ve been through a lot the last year.”
The Shirley actress proceeded to reach over and take the host’s hand with a smile, adding, “Yeah, it’s good to see you, Jimmy.”
King‘s only child, Ian Alexander Jr., died by suicide in January 2022 at 26 years old. She shared Ian with her ex-husband, record producer Ian Alexander Sr.

Jimmy Kimmel has had it with all the Kate Middleton conspiracy theories and undue attention, urging the press and public to “leave this woman alone” during his opening monologue last night.
“We finally got a royal update on Kate Middleton,” Kimmel said during the opening of last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC. “There’s a very simple explanation for Kate Middleton’s whereabouts: She’s been working from home. How does a princess work from home? ‘I’m just going to stay in and wave at people?’”
Kimmel’s monologue then took on a slightly more serious tone. “Maybe it’s because I’m American but I don’t understand the craziness around this. Why do we have to know where she is? It’s not like she’s the bus driver. She had an operation. She had abdominal surgery, maybe she has a colostomy bag and doesn...
