My sympathies to Jenny
How I lasted 30 minutes watching the premiere of Jenny Garth's return to network television I cannot say. What I can say is that, as much as I adore Jenny Garth and her previous body of work, she and the other cast members of this painfully slick, un-funny and vacuous sit-com, appear to be delivering those empty phrases like people who are treading water just moments from drowning. Who talks like that? Even if people did, the timing is so forced, there are times when it seems as if Jenny is grimacing. Furthermore, I believe she can play comedy, but this wasn't her best foot forward. It looked as is everyone there was doing their poorest imitation of characters in other slick and vacuous sit-coms that have somehow managed to capture the imagination or at least the short attention spans of today's 12-25 age group. Is anybody out there as tired of one-liners like, "hello?.....lame" and all of its close cousins as I am? To the producers of this waste of air time: please...PLEASE....go back and watch the Charles/Burrows/Charles sit-coms and try to learn from them.
