You can't go home again
A master of porn films in the '70s, Bob Chinn came out of retirement in the new millennium to helm a number of mediocre (by his standard) videos, including several macho action hero series spotlighting Magnum (natch) or Nick Grande.

SILK AND SEDUCTION is one of several attempting to resurrect Chinn's most successful character, casting Joel Lawrence as Johnny Wadd Jr. It doesn't hold a candle to the John Holmes originals - a telling moment occurs (in a blooper shot) when Jr. holds up a framed photo of daddy and it's got a used condom stuck to it.

The private eye story here is trivial and pointless, as part two in Wadd's search for an ancient sword, with Chinn eschewing the action scenes (and fights/stunts) that were his trademark. Instead, a succession of very attractive porn actresses bed down either Lawrence, Kyle Stone or the more massively-hung Lee Stone (who previously as Peter Magnum was a more likely successor to Holmes' mantle in Chinn's XXX universe).

IMDb has the credits garbled (confusing this video with another Chinn effort seen in the coming attractions), so Monica Mayhem, Diana DeVoe and Star E. Knight don't show. Instead, Alexa Rae is the hottest femme taking on Joel, while the hottest scene spotlights a nearly-forgotten favorite of mine, Bamboo, going up against Lee with her stubby nipples jutting WAY out.

Gina Ryder as Wadd's secretary does most of the acting, as Lawrence pretty much walks through his part. The fact that he seems constantly to have an erection clashes with his papa's big limp-dick legacy, but it's probably unfair to complain.

Other beauties in on the action include Inari Vachs, a pre-boob-job Sunrise Adams and not yet impressive (early in her career) Jenna Haze, along with Ginger Paige and Autumn Haze. Chinn's cameo is boring, and overall this video didn't make me want to see any of his other latter-day efforts, except for BAD PENNY starring the great Nina Hartley.
