This movie isn't hard to understand. It is in fact quite simple for those who understand the black experience. Especially the experience of being Black in an ever-advancing/ever-white America (world really). Whoopi Goldberg does a phenomenal job with providing a voice to the dichotomy that exist between the two opposing worlds presented. Black and white, husband and wife, wealthy and impoverished, young and old etc... etc...

I find that when we see movies that delve into the Black experience (especially experiences that aren't comfort making) we see an uproar. I remember the release for this movie and it never can across as a balls to the walls comedy. WE are complex there is humor and pain and reality in all of our stories and we mustn't limit people to what we Incan only imagine for them. Think broader!!!
