  • Hi, i'm from Dominican Republic too and i agree with u, Rebelde way was a huge hit here in Dominican republic and in Argetina, too. it was a really cool show where we can see many problems which are important for teenagers, and we can see how to solve them. I don't believe that people only watch it because of the HOT teenagers, but because it's a show with a good story, good actors(Luisana Lopilato, Benjamin Rojas, Camila Bordonaba, Felipe Comlombo...), good music and a good product or. The hit was that huge that they made a 2nd season, a movie and Three records (Señales, Tiempo and Memoria(They were all hits)). i already miss the show Ç_Ç, i wanna watch it again!!!!!!
  • I am a Cris Morena fan since I can remember... When I was a kid I loved her TV series "Chiquititas" and followed it for its 7 years on the year, everyday at 6:00. It became a part of my childhood.. which is why, when I was a teenager and Rebelde Way came on, I did not hesitate to watch it.

Whatever criticism there might be on this show I cannot understand them. This is a great show in many aspects. The four main characters do a surprisingly good job as actors... they get better in each episodes and are incredibly funny. Everyone else in the cast does and awesome job, the young actors and the "older" ones.

The story is so original... Cris Morena is also well known for the songs she writes so including a band in the TV Show was an incredibly good idea. It is not surprising that with the ideas Cris Morena has her shows cannot help but be incredibly popular.

In my opinion though, (and I have watched all of her shows, to this day) Rebelde Way was her best one by far... It is about an elite class boarding school and it revolves around the lives of four main characters: Marizza (the rebel and outgoing daughter of a celebrity), Mia (the spoiled but good-hearted daughter of a fashion business man), Pablo (the popular but confused son of the governor) and Manuel (the Mexican tough guy only in Argentina out of revenge).

Throughout the show there are many important issues that are dealt with. Descrimination (to lower class), corruption, and most of all rebelling against injustices... It is all out being a rebel when it is necessary and this show does an awesome job in showing us how by also making us laugh, cry, and stay tuned for each episode that comes.

I think the show is one of the best ideas I have ever seen, great acting, and above all it knows perfectly well its audience and who it is targeted at. This, in my opinion, is incredibly important in a show.

I think everyone in their pre-teens and teens will be able to enjoy this show a lot...and it also has some very good music (which at first I wasn't sure about, but surprisingly it ends up being not bad)

I think the only thing left to say is that the show had a lot of well deserved success in many different countries. And for anyone who watched the show, they will understand why.

In my opinion the series is great. It's a worth watching series which deals with problems teenagers face all over the world like racism, hate, love, friendship, what is right to do and what is wrong, problems with parents and teachers and generally things that teenagers are extremely interested in.The story is mainly about four children Pablo,Marizza,Mia and Manuel. They are all strong personalities and go to Elite Way school where they make friends and a band called ''Erre Way''.But i should introduce them to you: Mia is the daughter of a very rich man called Franco Colluci and has two best friends Feli and Vico. Manuel is from Mexico and goes to Argentina to get revenge for his father death because he thinks that Franco Colluci is responsible for it.However he falls in love with his daughter Mia. Marizza is the daughter of Sonia Rey,famous dancer-model. Pablo is the son of the mayor Sergio Bustament who he is somewhat afraid of. Although it is of great interest for teens i tend to believe that adults don't like it or just do not care for it.Anyway it is my firm belief that is great and i have to say that the series is very famous in Greece, too. We really love it here because of all mentioned above.

P.S. i must not forget to mention that music is fantastic and acting excellent.

    Best of
All my teenage in a serie! Can't stop watching this show!! SO educational about friendship, love, hate, injustice and truth!!
  • I am watching it again after almost 15 years since I first saw it, and I can't help but love it. Like every other great movie, watching it for the second time only makes you see some things you didn't pay attention to in the first run. I mean, I'm almost 30, but the feeling is the same. This is much more than a soap-opera, it's a depiction of the life as a teenager...but not only. Yes, it's exaggerated, but that's the beauty of it. When Mia is wondering why Joaquin doesn't notice her, even though "mi pelo es re lindo", or I hear Sonia screaming after her precious "Marizza, mi ciela", I can't help but clap, it's that good. I mean, the boobs may be fake, but by god those tears are real! :)) Don't even think about comparing this with the crap shows that copied it (Rebelde and what not). The devil is in the details. And this, dear teenagers of any age, is a masterpiece
  • It is imposible that real people could give ten stars to this pathetic crappy show. I can't believe that netflix is re running a new version of this sexist mediocre TV show. It is the shame of argentinian television.

Holla! My name is Aura, I live in Romania and I know that "Rebelde Way" is huge everywhere, I see how it is in my country, even boys watch it... To bad it's over, but now we are watching the Mexican remake and we have a few episodes of "Rebelde way" on DVDs... When I first watched this show, I was like 12 or 13, now I am 15. And that soap opera learned me the things I needed to know on how to be a teenager and what falling in love like a teenager means. It helped me understand myself, understand how it is being a teenager and I still enjoy this and learn from the show. I actually grew up as being a Romanian "Mia", I did not intend that, but it just happened. I was a bit shy in general school, but everything changed in high school. It was just the high school life every girl would have dreamed of, having friends, going to Miss Competicion, being such a popular girl in school, I loved it. Though I saw that is not that easy... I suffered a lot, some girls really hated me for just being myself... exactly like Mia... It helped me so much, I learned how to fight for my rights, for what is good, like Marizza mostly does... The teen eyers are the best of your life, so don't throw them away. Enjoy!
  • I live in Dominican Republic and this series is HUGE here. I don't believe that what some people are saying about the series only being a hit in Isreal. The kids in Argentina also love this series and Rebelde Way have huge fans in Dominican Republic. I also don't believe that people only watch this show because of the HOT teenagers , but because this is a great show that keeps you wanting more. There are great actors in this series, one can be better than the others, like Maritza played by. This is an amazing show filled with love, hate, music, and more. I strongly recommend this show, but girls will be more fond of it.

    Rebelde Way fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Warning: Spoilers
    (contains spoilers)

Rebelde Way is, in a way, a Chiquititas sequel, as it brings together Cris Morena and her kids, now grown up with colored hair and crazy ideas as to how to make adults go nuts.

Camila Bordonaba, Felipe Colombo, Luisana Lopilato and Benjamin Rojas star, along with actors who will make you squeal "Hey, that's ___" when you first watch the show, only this time, instead of being parentless, moneyless and full of optimism, they are somewhat rich, somewhat spoiled and go to Elite Way, your dream boarding school, where they get visits all the time, barely study for exams, skip classes, spend half their time outside and live in rooms the size of your house with wall colors matching their sheets.

The focus is of course on love and relationships - Mia and Manuel, The Couple, the forbidden love, is the first couple. He came to Argentina to destroy her father, who caused his father's suicide (although not so much). They fall for each other, of course, at first sight, where she's dressed in nothing and he goes "wow" to himself. They love to play with us, the writers, as they bring the two together for nearly a week (a week!) only to break them up again until the first season's finale. But don't get your hopes up - the middle of season 2 marks the (supposed) end of them... until the season finale (100 episodes of aloneness).

Pablo and Marizza are the other (not) couple, and here too we are fooled again and again. At first, they pretend to be a couple only to get their parents off their backs. Later on, they get together because of a bet, break each other's hearts and result in the almost saddest moment of all time. Their not coupling is too fun to watch as fights break out every other episode and are fun just as the kisses are. The second season is the season for them, as they almost get together every week or so. We get a real relationship between the two, finally, by episode 135, following the Best Kiss Of All Time. And all is happy.

As Luisana is the rising star of the show, blonde and hot and blue eyed and oh-so-amazing, Camila is the actress - she will make you cry, laugh, and cheer on her. In season 2 she shines - she cuts her hair on screen, shuts her mother out of her life, discovers the truth about her father and Art teacher and proves to be the finest actress on the show. In the second part of the second season, each scene of hers is jaw dropping and heart breaking - and on stage, as ErreWay, she is no less amazing.

The show is a cross between a soap opera and a telenovela, and each episode is entertaining and worth watching. It warms your heart and sets itself in it, and you don't want to let go. As parents go crazy, you should leave the prejudice aside and just watch - you will never want it to end.
  • All the people who said it's not a good series, are not right, IMHO. It's really good teenage TVseries, we can see there many problems which are important for teenagers, and we can see how to solve those problems. It's not a great immortal movie, but it didn't supposed to be a great movie, it's just telenovela, but in this genre it's great. I'm from Russia, we watch it from this winter, before it translated in Ukraine, and you'r not right saying it popular only in Israel, here it's really popular now. about actors'playing i can say the only one thing - maybe actors are not as great, as some of world famous stars, but i've seen many actors, world famous actors, playing worser than RebeldeWay's kids. And Camila Bordonaba i find very talented, the most talented of them all. I love this TVserie and i recommend it to everybody, especially teenagers.
  • Well, to all you future fans of it in the USA (I heard Warner Bros. bought the rights), here's a bit of what this Argentinian soap-opra is like: A couple of (hot) teenagers go to an elite boarding-school ("Ellite Way"), where they study arts and stuff. The four main characters are:

    • Mia (by Luisana Lopilato) - A rich snob, but deep down she likes helping people.

    • Manuel (by Phelipe Colombo) - A poor Mexican there only to avenge his father's death.

    • Marizza (by Camila Bordonova) - The rich luca daughter of a famous sexy super-model (Catherine Flop - super-model in real life too)

    • Pablo (by Benjamin Rojas) - The son of the mayor, who as a father - sucks big time. He actually makes me mad.

And they all get together, with the help of friends, to form a music group called "Erre Way" (they also released already two real CDs: "Rebelde Way" and "Tiempo").

    And for my opinions:

    • Their acting isn't Edward Norton's, but fairly good.

    • Phelipe and the preety girl who plays Luxan (a supporting character) are the best actors in the show in my opinion (and of course, all of the elders too). Benjamin isn't that bad either.

    • Benjamin is considered very sexy in the eyes of many girls. I agree, but you got to hate his nose!

    • Luisana is unquestionablly the hottest HUMAN-BEING in the world! The words of a girl!

    • final note: I do NOT like this show at all, but many INTELLIGENT Israeli teenagers seem to DO like it. And they also spend a lot of money on concert-tickets and merchandise too. Go figure.
  • Warning: Spoilers
The acting is actually great, the actors have been working in Argentina since they were kids and another thing, who says Argentina didn't like it this show was one of the most successful teen soap operas that Cris Morena ever had in that time period. You also for got that Peru is a huge fan also and in fact right now in the year 2006 the show is airing in different parts of Europe and it is a huge success, it is a perfect form of a TV show. Luisana Lopilato, Benjamin Rojas, Felipe Colombo and Camila Bordonaba are right now recognized in Argentina as very good actors. This show is a success it has a remake a bad remake but it is being remade in different countries of the world and they are very popular.
  • This TV series tells the story of a high-school class, their freshmen and sophomore years (they've stopped shooting it now). It takes place in a school called Elite Way, a boarding school for rich people, and they only have several students who get in on scholarships. It centers around 4 students who meet and form a group called Erreway. The four members of the group - Marizza, Pablo, Mia and Manuel, have to struggle both against their parents, who don't want them to sing in a band (except for Marizza's mom) and against the school and its regulations (and its principle) that doesn't allow it. Together with this we get a story of a bunch of teenagers who deal with the same every day problems that normal teenagers do. The show deals with sex, drugs, love, hate, friendship, abuse, death, vengeance etc. Kind of a modern day Beverly Hills.
