  • This game is one one of the best bond games i have ever played in my life because:

The mission's are very good and very fun to do and sometimes they can be really really hard. The story is very good. The driving levels are the most fun to do and the cars in this game are very good. This game has lots of action and good weapons to use. Voice over actors are good but bond would have been better if pierce brosnan had done it but who cares as long as it looks like and acts like him in this game. Also the graphics are pretty good.

Overall score ******** out of **********
  • I remember this being an okay game. It was pretty difficult but once you got the hang of it, you could move along quite nicely. The graphics were pretty stunning for the time and the environments were fun to explore.
  • This game is one of the all time most classic Playstation 2 games. There's a reason this 007 game, out of the vast number produced over time, is the most widely recognized and is sometimes enough of a reason to buy the PS2 console to begin with.

Most every single multiplayer first person shooter games of the modern age take lessons from the game play you experience in the 1-2 (1-4 with multi-tap) arena style matches that debuted in 007: Nightfire. Multiplayer gaming before this was akin to the bonus disc in some DVD's: a feature that sounds awesome enough to raise the market price, but in reality does not have the quality and substance to draw you in like the main feature does. Some of my earliest memories of playing a video game with other people are from 007: Nightfire, and remind me very much of the heated modern day Call of Duty multiplayer game play that has resulted in globally broken walls, broken friendships, and broken controllers (in the best possible way!).

If you're in the mood for some retro gaming, 007: Nightfire is an absolute must have!
  • This game has everything, and is well worth buying, there are so many missions, all different, from shooting enemies to driving in a cool Aston Martin, the first mission well represents this, you have to protect a French intelligence agent in a helicopter with a sniper rifle, taking out the enemies as they come, and later you are driving a car around the city. Then the other missions later on are more "spy" missions where you are snaking around. The multi-player option is great too, on this option you can play as characters from the game and basically choose your enemies and have a shoot out, or play a special option e.g. industrial espionage where you have to collect disks for your team. Also by winning a lot of points on the one player game, you have the chance to win celebrity characters for the multi player mode, these including the legendary Goldfinger, Electra King and Renard. Or alternatively you can just find the cheat codes. This game is brilliant and definitely worth buying.
  • I have to say when i played this at my friends house for the first time in multiplayer then i thought this game was so good i had to get it so i got it and when i played through the Nightfire Adventure i was so stunned i could not believe it. The game play is the best and so is the scenario in each level. There are underwater levels and there are levels in japan and everything your wildest imaginings can dream of are in this game. the multiplayer is so good because in some levels you can go and ride cable cars across large canyons and rise around in vehicles and it is something which i would kill for if somebody tryed to take it away from me. it is just a game that cannot be missed for all of eternity. This is one of the best games and you must buy your own copy because you can unlock characters in your account from all the movie from start to finish. It contains everything you can dream of. it even has a trailer for the james bond film "Die Another Day". I could go on and on and waste all this precious valuable time to play 007 nightfire so i will wrap it up. If you don't buy this game you are crazy in the coconuts if you buy this game then you are amazing and i thank you so much for getting one of the best and most entertaining games in the world. Believe my you have not wasted one cent of your money.
  • Warning: Spoilers
this game came out in early years of last decade when Pierce Brosnan was still bond just before his final outing as agent 007 in die another day 2002 despite the hate i still love that film i have enjoyed all the bonds even the new Daniel Craig films i hate them but they are entertaining but Timothy Dalton & Pierce Brosnan are true to what Ian Flemming wrote in the books.

now when it comes to video games & bond franchise is quite huge worldwide with so many fans like me even if someone is not a bond fan he will still love this game this is what EA Electronics kept in mind to just give something best to everyone worth their money i bought this game in 2004 i think when i was a hardcore gamer specially huge fan of the hit-man & need for speed series also max Payne should be mentioned here but bond was never on my mind as i was not a fan of it but when i played this game it got me hooked for hours i have wasted days even months with this game it was so great the story is a rehash of previous bond films specially Roger Moore era if anyone remembers Moonraker you will know what i mean.

the story, characters, locations along with action & most of all the weapons system design is superbly done by the makers it feels like your the bond for real when your on missions its got all the gadgets you need there are bond games like this before & after that but none of them will have an impact on the player Brosnan's face & likeness was added but his smooth voice was missing i played the PC version play-station versions are different as you can drive the car too but PC version is just fine if someone wants extra ammo & guns for fun time pass on the cheats are available this is the type of stuff new games don't have.

the plot:007 is sent to investigate about a stolen nuclear space weapon named night fire as suspected by mi6 industrialist Raphael Drake is behind it to find out how James Bond stops him you will have to play the game.

i will not mention voice acting its below average, there are many glitches in the game but the story & level designs are so big to explore it will take some time to get back if you get lost in some area even the graphics are excellent now who can forget the theme song in main titles.

i don't know what to say more about this it is pure nostalgic for me if you love good films, music & some games too please do try to get hold of this classic game as it is one of the best James bond game ever made so do not miss.my rating for 007:NightFire 2002 is 10/10:Recommended
  • I love this game, the best thing about it, is that it is safe your kids, unlike Grand Theft Auto, there's no blood when you kill people, and there's no language! Although the voice of James Bond should have been Sean Connery or Piecre Brosnan. Other then that, Great!!! If your looking for a kids safe game et this one. I love it. And you will two. The 2-4 player is awesome!!! Through the game you can unlock charctors from all the Bond films. From Golden Eye to Die Another Day. To conclude I would like to add that the 2-4 player game with the moving carts with the log cabin and the castle have lots of glitches that you'll get stuck in when you least expect it, so... BE CAREFULL!!!
  • Before I say anything, if you're looking to play the free PC version, do yourself a favour and Google ''007 - Nightfire (Windows 10 Compatible) archive dot org''. The install file is uploaded by user ''Electronic Arts / A White Bob Installer''. It has no bugs or crashes to desktop unlike the other modified copy with updated multiplayer support patched to v5.91 that's made widely available on ''nightfirepc'' website.

Here's my review, so I had the chance to complete both version of this game on the Console PS2 via PCSX2 Emulator for PC followed by the PC version. It's an engaging Action/Adventure FPS game with all the usual Bond gadgets made ready for the player to use in different situations. I highly recommend that you play the console version first because it has the ''Car Driving Missions'' that was removed in the PC version for reasons unknown. Unsure why the Devs made this terrible decision? The PC port is a completely new experience, feels like another game imo. The graphics, the gameplay mechanics, cinematography etc. Alot of stuff in the PC version feels rushed or remove. I rate both versions an 8 out of 10.
  • Working with another agent, Bond uncovers a plot by millionaire businessman Drake. Investigating his supposedly above board operations with Phoenix Corporation, Bond uncovers things that point to a bigger plan that threatens the security of the world as Drake seeks to control the world powers from his outer space base; can Bond save the world again?

Having clocked Agent Under Fire in a few days I went out and hired this thinking that it would be fun but simple like AUF. However this game is much better than the first Bond on the PS2. Nightfire starts well with a title sequence which is cool (despite an awful song) and even a pre-credits stage in the game! The graphics are much improved but still have a real quality `Bond' feel to them. The biggest improvement on AUF is the fact that I didn't finish the game within a few days! This thing is difficult, even on the easiest level. It takes practice and learning what to do whereas AUF was just run in blasting this is the opposite – do that here and you'll be dead quickly in most cases.

A fine example is the sniper level. In AUF all snipers had infrared beams to show you a) where they were aiming and b) where they were! It made them no problem to avoid. In Nightfire (the snipers level in the old nuclear plant especially) the snipers are really hard to get until you start to work out roughly where they are. All you have to go on is the fact that they shout `I see him' and `where'd he go' when you move in and out of their line of sight – but given that you're in an open industrial area that still covers a large area. The stages prior to this are quite easy but still require work. After this it is gets harder and is a good learning curve.

The multiplayer is also better. The levels involve a lot more running around in complex areas as opposed to quite open areas as in AUF. Also, thankfully, you can have computer controlled characters so you can be as sad and lonely as you want but still have this challenge to keep the game alive long after you finish it.

Overall I really enjoyed this game as it was a challenge for me even on the easiest level. The is really only one level that I would class as a simple `run and gun' blasting level where you can just let rip – the rest require a certain degree more finesse – just like Bond himself! I was a little let down by how easy AUF was, with this I had no complaints (apart from yelling at my TV when I couldn't spot the snipers on that flippin' level!)
  • This game is absolutely fantastic....

You know that this is a game for every Bond fan to enjoy and the structure of the game, stops it from being just another "shoot 'em up".

The game is the closest I have seen to a Bond film with car chases, snow mobile fights, gorgeous women and typical Bond innuendo.

Playabilty is 9/10 and the graphics are 10/10. Obviously John Cleese and Pierce Brosnan didn't do the voices of the characters however, the similarities to the actors is uncanny.

The only let down for this game is that the levels have a tendency to repeat themselves.

Bond fans will love this game. Gameheads will like this game.

It's a winner all the way!
  • I have rented it. Loved it, and am about to buy it. The graphics here can rival any game cube title (but I don't know about Metroid Prime). They made Bond look exactly like Brosnan, and almost everyone here looks too real (but they made poor old Q un-funny and cartoon-like! Look at his bow-tie!) The sound is very good, I would swear a gun-fight is being fought in my living room! The gameplay is pretty easy to understand and you can just pick up your controller and blast away at things!

    Now, the bad parts.

Who exactly though this illogical Moonraker/Golden Eye/Tommorow Never Dies/World is Not Enough story would work anyway? I mean come on! I have written better stuff than this in school essays! And the theme (while it is nice the game had one) totally bombs! Ever since Tommorow Never Dies there have been no good Bond themes! Anything else I can think of...yes. Two words: Raphel Drake. The worst James Bond villian since Charles Grey played Blofelt! He is as threatening as Leo Bloom for crying out loud! Hmm...anything else. Yes. Two ONE more word (since I forgot here last name): Alura. Never has there been a more irritating, annoying, ditzy, unatractive, unintellegent airhead since Dinese Richards play Christmas Jones (she is in the game too...AAAUUGGHHH!). Every other Bond girl was good (Kiko espically) but she was a major downpoint.

    Overall: Buy it asap!
  • I couldn't wait to rent this game, even though it disapointed me a little bit. The gameplay relates a lot to Agent Under Fire, which really ticked me off. Even the Multiplayer is identical. However, it wasn't that close to a faliure. The graphics were a hell of a lot better and I loved how they made Bond look exactly like Brosnan, except for a s****y lie about having Brosnan voice this one. The women were pretty good, except that they just couldn't resist to kill the hottest one. Damn. Anyway, the levels were very good and the car chases are aplenty, and that made me feel ecstatic. Overall, it is better than Agent Under Fire and I hate it when they said that the multiplayer levels in Auf were better than TWINE, they sucked. It rates third in my books. Oh, and I liked how it had its own theme song at the beginning. I just hope when Die Another Day becomes a game it will be as good as GoldenEye, but so far, nothing has beat that game. 7/10
  • This is like the best Bondgame I've tried. But I got pretty disappointed by Bonds voice, it's not Brosnan! The graphics are good, but slow on my computer since I only got possibillity to play it there 'cause I haven't got any consol accept for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
