When Erica kisses Harry in the scenes outside the restaurant in New York City, it was an improvisation by Diane Keaton. Writer and director Nancy Meyers liked it so much that she decided to use it in the final cut of the movie.

When Harry starts hanging up his coat in the restaurant in Paris he is wearing a big blue scarf. The camera cuts to Erica, then back to Harry as he is just finishing hanging up his coat, but the scarf has disappeared.
Jack Nicholson sings "La Vie en Rose" during the closing credits.
