When a family is held hostage, former hostage negotiator Jeff Talley arrives at the scene. Talley's own family is kidnapped and Talley must decide which is more important: saving a family he doesn't even know or saving his own family.
The following year, Yangyang Gao would appear in another "family taken hostage" movie Firewall (2006).
I need to talk to that motherfucker! You hear me? I want to talk to that fucker right now! I want that motherfucker!
During the hostage negotiation in the beginning, Talley writes a message on the whiteboard and then tosses it to his friend. He tosses it white side down, but it slides over to his friend white side up.
The beginning and end credits take place as a virtual camera moves through a digitally replicated set with frozen action. This then fades into and out of the live action at the beginning and end of the film.
