Ms Yu Zhang in her 20's is as beautiful as ever!
The literal translation of the title of this movie is: Clear Water Gulf, Salt Water Gulf.

Like most Chinese dramas in the early 1980's that fall into the category of either political propaganda, or just plain dull and boring, this movie is no exception.

However, there is something else worth watching: Ms. Yu Zhang, and as a matter of fact, this is probably the only reason for watching this movie. Ms. Zhang is not even the protagonist, but she is very pretty indeed in her late 20's. It is a great shame that she does not appear in anymore big pictures later, but after her immigration to Taiwan, she did occasionally appear in TV series such as Bao Gong Zhuan. It is really amazing that although the TV series was made more than a decade later, she does not look a bit older. Try to watch the two and I am sure that you will reach the same conclusion.
