The Grammy Award winner appeared on “The Drew Barrymore Show” Monday and kicked off her interview lauding the actress for being her inspiration. The “Good Days” singer said she wrote a letter to the talk show host she never sent, thanking her for being “one of the few lovely white women” she emulates.

“When you’re younger and you’re a Black woman, there’s not a lot of examples all the time, and one of the few lovely white women that I looked up to so much on television, it was you because you were so yourself,” Sza said. “You were quirky, your smile wasn’t perfect.”

Actor Sean Astin will make his Broadway debut this holiday season as Santa in the revival of Elf The Musical, producers announced today.

Astin, best known for his roles in the original Lord of the Rings films and more recently Stranger Things and The Conners, will costar opposite Grey Henson who will play Buddy the Elf.

Elf The Musical, returning to Broadway for the first time in more than a decade, begins previews at the Marquis Theatre on Saturday, November 9, with an official opening on Sunday, November 17. The limited engagement runs through Saturday, January 4, 2025.

Deadline reports that the actress is playing the role of Ellie, who becomes trapped inside a "cyclical nightmare" that causes her memories to frequently "reset," erasing her life with her husband and daughter. Even worse, her real memories are replaced with "vivid memories of a life she's never lived."

In some ways, it sounds like a cross between a lighter rom-com like 50 First Dates and Happy Death Day. It's not quite the same thing as a time manipulation movie where each day repeats itself, but one that could be a lot darker depending on what direction this story takes.

Rothe will star opposite Joseph Cross, the actor best known for his performances in Lincoln and Licorice Pizza.

Dave Bautista tried his hand at the family comedy sub-genre where tough guys take care of children in the 2020 film My Spy. That film joined the likes of Kindergarten Cop, The Nanny, The Pacifier, The Game Plan and The Chaperone. My Spy would become Prime Video’s third most-watched streaming title of 2020, so a sequel would definitely be in the books. Drew Barrymore is reflecting back on 20th Century Fox’s initial reaction to Never Been Kissed.

The actress-producer and talk-show host was joined by Hey, Dude…The ’90s Called! hosts Christine Taylor and David Lascher on Friday’s Drew Barrymore Show, where she recalled how the rom-com marked a big milestone for the actress, as it was the first project made under her own production company, Flower Films.

With her venture behind the camera while also being the film’s star, there was a lot of pressure on Barrymore for the film to succeed.

“Never Been Kissed was very interesting because it was our first official film for Flower Films. And at that time, people were very weary of actors being producers,” she explained. “A lot of it wasn’t necessarily working and it didn’t mean because you’re an actor, you knew how to produce a film and it was about the economics.

For someone who came from a generation of actors ranging from her great, great, great, grandparents from both sides of her family including herself, It’ll be strange if Drew Barrymore‘s children wouldn’t wish to toe the same line.

Having started appearing on TV from as young as 11 months old, Drew would later go on to make a name for herself in the acting industry and it’s quite fitting that her children Olive, 11, and Frankie, 10, would want to do the same at about the same age their mom started if given the opportunity.

In this film, the Beverly Hills Cop and Coming to America star plays a determined man who is willing to go above and beyond to win the annual Christmas home decoration contest in his neighborhood – even if it means making a very magical deal.

The DC universe will also be getting festive in December thanks to Merry Little Batman, an animated feature that sees Batman’s son, Damian Wayne, stumble upon a villainous plot on Christmas eve, one that may give him a chance to save the day when his dad isn’t around.

The actress took to Instagram on Friday to share the now-deleted video talking to camera, marking the first time she spoke out in nearly a week since she revealed last weekend that her talk show would be returning.
