A mob mix-up in Chicago sends two chanteuses screaming for L.A., where they score a perfect gig: posing as drag queens on the dinner theater/cabaret circuit. Things get extra-weird when a guy falls for one of the girls.
When Connie and Carla are introduced at the auditions as Al and Mikey, Stanley says that they come from Winnipeg. Nia Vardalos is from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Robert: Supple. Good.
Connie: Ok, then.
When Al and Mikey have just arrived and are driving through Los Angeles there's no car behind them. But, in the next shot Tibor is driving his own car just a few feet behind them.
