Actress Jiah Khan's mother, Rabia Amin, debuted as an actress in this film. Rabia Amin was an orphan, Christian girl from Agra whom Tahir Husain had discovered in Dehradun. He had brought her over to his home in Bombay where she was given shelter. Husain's wife Zeenat had mentored her and Rabia eventually changed her religious beliefs..
