"Alice & Viril" is a short film from 1993, so this live action movie will have its 25th anniversary next year. It runs for under two minutes and is one of two really short movies by director Steven Shainberg starring Angelina Jolie around the age of 18. This one here is the one in color. Jolie sure has that femme fatale thing going for her and it's not that surprising what men (i.e. Viril) would do to be interesting to her. Then again my "love" reference in the title of this review may not really be that accurate as it is more about sadism and masochism, about self-sacrifice in here. The film profits a bit from the narration and the atmospheric take as honestly it is really just one picture basically we see in these roughly 100 seconds, recorded from several perspectives while we are listening to the explanation. Nothing too memorable here and I don't think apart from Jolie's looks there is not much of a reason to see this more than once, or maybe even once. I give it a thumbs-down and think the IMDb rating is pretty accurate. Only worth checking out for huge Angelina Jolie fans.
