  • Shopping for a new couch pushes Sam over the edge and he announces that he can't do this anymore with Judy and that they are finished. The two break-up and begin to split up their possessions. However, like the song says, breaking up is hard to do.

The second of the series was less comic than the first and went off on a weird little bender. The start feels like it might be a comedy, but the splitting up of possessions is quite sombre and sad. The resulting reminiscing is good but the climax is too weird (and a little graphic for my tastes).

The actors are both good and manage to make the characters genuine with little time to do it. The climax is meaningful if you think about it, but it is a little forced and too metaphorical. I still question the need for it to be so graphic! Worth a watch but a mixed bag.
