In mainstream cinema we have "Westworld" and "Total Recall', but the concept of fantasy virtual reality sex keeps recurring in porn, tackled well in this James Avalon feature for Metro.
It suffers from some directorial gimmickry, notably overly frenzied editing and use of split-screen that ultimately detract from the erotic content.
Nikko Night and Petra are the married couple who eventually need some oomph to revitalize their sex life, and Katie Morgan is well-cast as the manager of the firm that can help. Customers put on head-gear that implants memories in their brains, at first generic ones but later adapted to their personal experiences and desires, evidence hat this Avalon screenplay is way ahead of its time (2002) in terms of the recent advances in machine learning/artificial intelligence.
I especially liked the work of Petra here, a sexy but unknown performer, and besides Katie (before she had breast implants) the supporing femme cast includes the wonderful ladies Ann Marie Rios and Lezley Zen. Avalon's six XXX vignettes are well-performed, but would be better if he'd taken a more straight-forward approach to presenting them.
