When the film released, several people asked Govinda what he was doing in such a small role in a horrible film. Govinda explained the film's producer Dalwinder came to sign Govinda for the film. Govinda had no dates and said he could not do the film. Dalwinder told Govinda to just say yes, he would figure out the rest. When Govinda arrived later that night at his house at 3 am, he saw Dalwinder waiting for him. Govinda was so impressed with Dalwinder's passion he signed the film without hearing his role. Over the next year Govinda kept shooting bits and pieces here and there. He could not make out anything about the film. When he finally saw the film , he realized why Dalwinder signed him. Dalwinder was launching himself as a hero with the film. He needed saleable hero in the film. This was so the distributors would buy the film. But in the film Dalwinder only concentrated on the roles of Shashi Kapoor and himself. Govinda joked the film shouldve been titled "Bhai Ho To Aisa".
