Lets start this off "Armitage the 3rd" was created back in 1995, so its as old as i am lol. That being said, expect 1995 animation. For its time it was a decent anime, the artwork is very nice, the story is decent, music was very 90s(you'll instantly understand if you decide to watch this).
This show will definitely appeal more to the big cyber punk, android fans of the 90s more than it will any anime fan thats probably under 16(16 at the time of writing this). Now off to the review, this was at today's standards an average anime, with average animation(at todays standards) but for the year the animation was very well done so i can't bash on that. The music was very 90s and by todays standards probably not to good at all, decent for when this was produced. The story is really quick paced, its a lot of explosions and no real character development which is typical for this generation of anime. What i'm getting at here is this is very average compared to todays standards and i'm gonna make the assumption that around 70% of 14-20 year olds(at the time of writing this) wont be that interested in this or even enjoy it. If your a hardcore cyber punk fan you may enjoy this very much, i know i wasn't particularity fond of this show but i also didn't dislike it.
3/5, 7/10. Why? Cause watching something older when the modern-age has surpassed it on so many levels brings out the oldness in it, but i didn't lower the score because of that. It got this score because it didn't really character develop to well, didn't really draw you into this show well.
P.S. If your watching the original 4OVA episodes and plan to watch the movies to finish up the series DO NOT waste your time watching poly matrix. Its literally the exact same show the only difference is that in the OVA episodes their are openings and ending to each episode. That is IT. Either watch Poly-Matrix and then Dual-Matrix or 4OVA episodes and then Dual-Matrix.
