A holiday to the South Pacific turns awry, when Cousin Eddie's family and a tour guide are shipwrecked on an island.
The only Vacation movie that is a direct sequel of a sequel of the original National Lampoon's Vacation (1983) movie.
Edward 'Eddie' Johnson:
Hey, Third. All those people down there look like ants.
Clark 'Third' Johnson: Dad, those *are* ants. We haven't taken off yet.
Edward 'Eddie' Johnson: You mean... we're gonna go higher?
After Eddie loses his nuclear testing job, during his "poor me" scene in the living room, he looks behind him at the dog laying on the loveseat with two throw pillows. Immediately afterward, Eddie flops himself down on the same loveseat but it is empty and a purple blanket has appeared and is hanging over the back of it. The throw pillows have vanished and the dog is lying on the floor under the Christmas tree in the other room.
The versatile comedic actor has his summer movie plans set but still has a little catching up to do when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
