PG-13 | | Action, Adventure
In 1957, archaeologist and adventurer Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones, Jr. is called back into action and becomes entangled in a Soviet plot to uncover the secret behind mysterious artifacts known as the Crystal Skulls.
This is the only Indiana Jones movie not to receive any Oscar nominations.
Col. Dr. Irina Spalko:
So, Dr. Jones, you will help us?
Col. Dr. Irina Spalko: A simple "yes" will do.
Indiana Jones: Oh, Marion, you had to go and get yourself kidnapped.
Marion Ravenwood: Not like you did any better.
Indiana Jones: Same old, same old.
The coastal tribes and cultures of Peru didn't use cerbatanas (or blowpipes) with poisoned darts. Those are the Amazon's jungle tribes, very far away from Nazca and in the other side of the Andes.
The movie begins with the Lucasfilm logo, followed by the 1954 Paramount "VistaVision" logo (with the text "PARAMOUNT" instead of "A PARAMOUNT PICTURE" and "A Viacom Company" instead of "A Gulf+Western Company" below "PARAMOUNT"). Gulf+Western became Paramount Communications in 1989, then merged with Viacom in 1994. The Paramount logo then dissolves into a gopher mound. (The static version of the current Paramount logo is seen at the end of the movie.)
