Joe Sarno's "Fäbodjäntan" is a classic Swedish porn film, which holds up well over 30 years after it was made. Current Swedish porn maven Mike Beck delivers this unauthorized remake (read: ripoff), and has packed in enough humping local beauties to make it worth watching.
The video's "it'a all a dream" format is disappointing of course -I can't recall a fantasy, horror or other genre film wedded to that gimmick that actually works. But over two hours of Scandi lovelies doing the nasty is its one & only theme (and content).
Cute Claudia Wennstrom is Linda, humped by two strapping vikings wearing helmets in the opening vignette, waking up to find out it was only a wet dream. She finds an ancient viking horn which, harking back to Sarno's film (which had an alternate title of COME BLOW THE HORN!), when blown thrice causes the people in earshot to become uncontrollably aroused. Sounds like a neat porno gimmick to me.
Rest of the lengthy video is Linda wandering around trying out her toy, giving the program the impression of a loop carrier. My favorite segment has her purportedly wandering near a "pony club" (never shown), where Mandy Moore-lookalike (face, not her super boobs) Aya Nielsen gets down with the director's Black regular Samson Biceps. This sequence could very well have been an outtake or excerpt from one of Beck's numerous RIDING SCHOOL series of videos, with Aya's riding boots the only link.
Beck scrupulously imitates Sarno by having Linda's middle-aged aunt Britta (Anna-Lena Svensson, a game if unattractive post-MILF performer) masturbate with a huge sausage, just like Sarno's old-age heroine did so memorably in 1978. I was extremely annoyed when not just the opening scene but the entire video turned out to be "only a dream" when Linda wakes up at the end on her couch, and blames it all on some friend telling her of that film about a horn and a sausage (poor Sarno).
Ultimately, the video's chief sin is not slavishly stealing from Sarno but rather the bait & switch premise concerning the vikings. Apart from the opening scene and a later lesbian coupling of Linda with pal Eva, turning into a threesome with a neighbor guy in which everyone wears viking headgear, this video has nothing to do with vikings. I was expecting a slightly more elaborate period piece, but it was cheaper to just grind out generic porn set in the 21st Century.
