This movie misleads you
jaheenahmed12 April 2019
I was also misleaded by seeing Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Suniel Shetty on the poster, thinking it might be a great action packed film with the trios but they only appears for a few minutes and I was disappointed. Ajay and Sunil only appears in 1 songs, while Salman appears while doing a action with Gulshan grover. Just don't watch this movie and you will be very disappointed. Storyline is poorly written and everything is just crap

The Lead hero Manek Bedi's face couldn't make it to the posters
jetkot26 April 2022
Don't be misled by the poster- Ajay Devgn, Salman Khan and Suniel Shetty have only one scene each in the movie where Ajay Devgn plays Ajay Devgn, Bhoi plays Bhoi and Suniel Shetty plays himself.

The movie's lead hero was Manek Bedi (Son of director Narendra Bedi ). But they could not sell the movie with his face so the poor guy's face didn't even make it to the posters. The producers marketed this movie as a Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Suniel Shetty film and cheated the audience by showing them Manek Bedi and Nasseruddin Shah as leads instead.

Acting debut of Veeru Devgan. This was the one and only movie in which Veeru Devgan acted. He played the role of a movie director. He was actually practicing as one year later he gave us a gem called Hindustan Ki Kasam (1999)

Bhoi plays himself in an action scene and saves Gracy Singh from goons by running them over by his bicycle. Bhoi and accidents go hand in hand. The leader of the goons is Gulshan Grover. This is a movie within the movie being directed by Veeru Devgan. Manek Bedi is playing Bhoi Ka Body Double in the scene where Gullu puts fire on Bhoi's shirt and Bhoi says Jalaygaa Kya ?

Ajay Devgn has an action scene and a song. No, not two different things. He is a truck driver and It is a song in which Amrish Puri's goons attack his girlfriend who is a dhabewali and Ajay Devgn sings and fights with the goons at the same time. So much multitasking used to happen in the nineties. Singing and dancing wasn't enough in this scene they sing, dance and fight. Dishooom !!!! The dhabewali is played by Ayesha Jhulka.

Suniel Shetty has an action scene where he plays Commando Khan. He says "Us Mulq ki Sarhad Ko Koi Choo nahin sakta, Jis Mulq ki Nigehbaan Ho Aaakhen" This is interuppted by Kiran Kumar saying " Is Mulq Ki Nigehbaazi karne wali tumhari Aankhen hi nahin, Kaleja bhi nikaal lenge hum..To which Suniel shetty replies "Kalejaa nikalne waale... Kalejaa tham ke sun. And then speaks a long monolouge before fighting starts. So much patience Kiran Kumar had in those days.

The whole movie has 90s style action scenes with Sabzee ke thele falling all over the place.

Nasser Sahab hams it up in this one. His character has rainbow shades. It keeps turning 360 degrees. Good to bad and back to good.

Tiku Tulsania laughs during serious scenes and makes them laughable. He plays Madhoo's father. He says lines like "Meri beti ko phisslakar, Meri Tijori mein Phissalna chahte ho?" and "Bohot achi tarah jaanta hun tum jaise naujawano ko, Jo Chalte hain Pathar ki sadak par, Lekin Chahte hain Noton ki Sadak."

Manek Bedi's voice is dubbed very badly. Infact everyone's voice is dubbed badly. He has no job and his brother is in jail. He is desperately seeking a job so he just randomly walks into a movie set and speaks to the director and says "Kya yeh shot main de sakta hun. Main skating school chalata hun, Bachon ko skating sikhata hun." To which the director replies "Areh Waah Skating janta hai, Isko Tayyar karo shot ke liye".

Veeru Devgan has an action scene where he says to the goons "Amitabh, Akshay, Sunny, Suneil' sabko fighting sikhai hai maine. The goons reply "Sher ke mooh se niwala chenega" to which he replies "Cheene ko main tumhari Jaan bhi Cheen Loon, Ration Card se tumhara naam bhi cheen loon."

The main villains are Arjun and Mohan Joshi. They are known for hammy performances.

Because Mohan Joshi says "Ek bohot secret conference hai hamare faraamhouse par, Duniya ke kone kone se terrorist hamare faaram house par aa rahe hein. Duniya bhar mein Bumm Bilaasht karne ka contract humein milne wala hai."

Famous movie director Umesh Mehra (Soni Mahiwal, Sabse Bada Khiladi) makes a special appearance as Movie director

Director of OH MY GOD! Umesh Shukla makes an appearance as a corrupt cop.

Why did they make this movie?
shipreeta18 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I still don't know why I clicked onto this movie in Youtube. The poster had Nasir Uddin Shah, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan on it with Sunil Shetty and Ayesha Julka. I knew that there is no movie with such a cast, so had a feeling that maybe Youtuber had created a poster to increase view.

After watching the movie I realized that it wasn't the Youtuber but makers of this movie trying to get extra footfall by having pics of people for 1 scene (except Nasir). Although I doubt this plan paid

The real hero of this movie was Manek Bedi with whom director had already made a movie Bhai Bhai the previous year (probably his first average movie). Poor guy couldn't even find a place in the poster 😒 To be honest I actually like first half an hour of the movie (probably because I hadnt expected any star studded show unlike others) especially the bromantic chemistry between Nasir sir and Manek Bedi. For example the scene when Manek opens a private police station and Nasir gets it removed. As unrealistic it might be, the scene was actually cute and reflected sibling vibes.

However even during this time they repeatedly made statements on how honest a police officer he was. Like during the first half hour, we had Nasir himself, Arjun(Feroze khan), Manek Bedi and an extra who had come to bribe Nasir were made to say that Nasir is an honest police offer, at least 5-6 times the same thing told to us in 30 minutes, we aren't fools, we understood in first time itself. Like they just wanted to hammer it into our mind or thought, Nasiruddin wasn't worth being trusted in one go.

Anyhow

Post this the movie took the same predictable twists as of the normal 90s movie. Nasir's character lacked any kind of consistency, Manek's Character was now supposedly more mature and responsible since he had to look after his family now as his brother was framed, however the scenes never let one feel that. Literally anything was happening in the movie with little to no connection to previous scene. So called comedy could make you tear your hairs. Literally nothing to like in it.

To be honest I couldn't even watch the complete movie (and I rarely do that), I found the user reviews here more interesting than the movie itself.

Other problem was the poor dubbing, I think they had some budget constraints, they would have used their whole budget in getting geust appearances and was not left with much to invest on basis requisites. Not only you had difficulty in hearing some dialogues, you actually can see inconsistency in lip syncing

Acting wise Nasir Uddin Shah was good, however I don't know why he took such projects in the 90s, doesn't match the expectations you would have from someone like him

Same with Feroze Khan (Arjun), post having (re)watched Mahabharata during lockdown with him being so awesome as Arjun, it feels very bad to see him in roles like this and acting melodramatically. Probably be didn't get projects and resorted to such movies

Haven't seen much of Manek Bedi, so wasn't expecting much from him, but found him with some potential. Unfortunately he didn't get many movies and left acting (did a research to find out he is a now a TV producer) he has good comic and action timing

Madhoo didn't have much to do but only to look beautiful and glamours and since did that.

Tike Talsania was ok but his throughout laughter and hand shakes started to irritate after a time.

Have given 4 starts only because of first half an hour and bromance which is something I love watching on screen

Overall you could see it only to get reminded that 90s were not as golden as we think today.....
