Years ago I watched this movie and thought...oh! what a good theme. But then I got to watch Jim Carrey's "The Majestic", which is a movie even greater. Yes it does not have the Farce content like Thilakkam. But it had a genuine story. This film is a xerox of that movie. Enough modifications and masala were added to a good storyline to make it ready for the malayali personalities. Think like that we have to suffer the movies like this as good Directors and Story tellers are leaving the arena.
Then again as I said you will get a good hour or like to laugh your hearts out. But you appreciate genuine works and consider the hardships of real story tellers, please don't watch this movie.
The parts played by comedians in this movie is real good. Especially Cochin and Salimkumar. The film was an enormous hit. Even the terms "mundur gramam" went so famous.
