Good movie, narrows down to standard story line
I'll start off by saying that if you're one of the types who liked Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon and the kind, don't bother watching this movie. It requires a totally different viewpoint, understanding of life and state of mind. Maybe the Vivek Oberoi-Kareena Kapoor puppy-love story part might appeal to you (as it has to someone here), but other than that, its real-life India and there aren't too many garden songs in exotic locations, pseudo-Indian traditions, family-values etc.

Its Mani Rathnam's message to the Yuva/Youth of today. The state of the country is in your hands, and it is you who has to take the initiative. It starts off with 3 youths from different walks of life, who are brought together one morning through an incident on the New Howrah Bridge, Kolkatta/Calcutta, and how they realize the state of events. The movie's worth watching if you are interested in the real-India. An attempt has been made to portray the "Bastis" of Calcutta, and the life of an ordinary man.

However, it ends up in the regular corrupt politician vs. ideal citizen story. But hey, this is a mainstream Bollywood and way better than all the crap that is being churned out of late.
