Larry Kudlow spent nearly three years advising former President Donald Trump on economic policy. Now he’s taking to Fox Business Network, where he will get to comment as a new Commander-in-Chief is likely to dismantle much of what his predecessor wrought.
Can he do so in an objective manner?
“I’ve said good and bad things about Democrats and Republicans,” says Kudlow in an interview, noting that business-news viewers probably already know his philosophy. He launches “Kudlow,” a Fox Business hour that will run at 4 p.m. and re-air at 7 p.m., today. Former Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin will be one of his first guests. “I myself am not bashful about my own comments. I have a few opinions. It’s not exactly breaking news that I’m a free-enterprise, free-markets, supply-side guy. That will not be shocking information.”

Fox Business Network beat rival CNBC for the 15th consecutive week among Business Day viewers with another victory by averaging 179,000 viewers last week. “Our smart, loyal and growing audience has made Fox Business the winner, and I’m thrilled to be a part of our hard-earned success,” Lou Dobbs told TheWrap. Fbn beat CNBC, which averaged 162,000 Business Day viewers, by 10 percent. A Democratic congressman has apologized for making a lewd joke about White House adviser Kellyanne Conway’s now-infamous Oval Office couch picture.
Rep. Cedric Richmond of Louisiana referenced the controversial photo of Conway kneeling on a couch in the Oval Office during a comedy routine at last week’s annual Washington Press Club Foundation congressional dinner, saying President Trump‘s top adviser looked “kind of familiar there in that position.”
The joke was met by groans from the room full of journalists, congressional staffers and politicians, ABC News reported.
After initially defending his comment, Richmond issued an apology Sunday night.

Kellyanne Conway isn’t taking the criticism of her Oval Office couch pose sitting down. Conway, who was eviscerated this week on Twitter after a photo of her sitting on a couch in the Oval Office with her shoes on the sofa surfaced, appeared on Fox Business Network’s “Lou Dobbs Tonight” to condemn the “venomous” and “vicious” treatment she’s been subjected to. “It is venomous, it is vicious, it bothers my children to be frank with you,” White House counselor Conway said. “I have 24/7 secret service protection because there are people out there who do wish us harm and people should.

What is it about some men? Did Mommy keep obsessive charts about their every urination and bowel movement during toilet training, marking down the time and size and color and form? Or did Mommy skip the toilet training altogether and they went to kindergarten still wearing diapers? Did Daddy take little Tommy into the shower and soap the penis just a little too much? Fox News heated up on Friday when Megyn Kelly went toe-to-toe with her colleagues Lou Dobbs and Erick Erickson over controversial remarks they made days earlier regarding women in the workplace and gender equality. Lou Dobbs was one of Ted Turner’s first recruits at the founding of CNN, where Dobbs hosted a show about politics for 30 years before leaving in November 2010 after clashing with then-network chief Jon Klein over his on-air commentaries about illegal immigrants and President Barack Obama’s birth certificate. In March 2011, Dobbs joined the Fox Business Network as host of Lou Dobbs Tonight, a show about economics and politics in the time slot against The Kudlow Report on CNBC. Today’s children have barely finished soaking up the leftist messages of Sesame Street and The Muppets with their malleable brain-sponges, but Hollywood has already entered the next phase of its insidious plan to turn them into weaklings who don’t just take everything they want all the time. Taking a brief pause from shaking an angry fist at his neighborhood taquerias, Lou Dobbs sounded the outrage alarm on Tuesday’s Lou Dobbs Tonight, alerting concerned parents to the underlying Obama-led agendas in both The Lorax and The Secret World Of Arrietty—agendas so disgustingly pervasive, they were first planted ...

Rightwing Us commentator criticises Hollywood for 'once again trying to indoctrinate our children'
Conservative filmgoers beware: Hollywood is after your children (again) with the release of two new films that shamelessly deliver a pro-liberal message.
The Secret World of Arrietty, Studio Ghibli's animated take on The Borrowers, is an insidious polemic that encourages class envy and redistribution of wealth. Meanwhile, Dr Seuss' The Lorax is yet another example of environmental radicalism, according to Lou Dobbs of the Fox Business Network.

NEW YORK -- CNN is bringing out the big guns before next month's midterm elections, giving anchor-analyst Lou Dobbs a bigger role and slating hourlong reports on the issues surrounding the election. Dobbs will anchor three hourlong specials from 7-8 p.m. ET this month, including two live town-hall-style meetings, one in Kansas City, Mo., for The War on the Middle Class and another in Texas focusing on Broken Borders. The third is about electronic voting. The first airs Oct. 18. NEW YORK -- Has CNN come to the end of the road in its pairing of Aaron Brown and Anderson Cooper on a recently expanded NewsNight? Speculation is rampant that CNN is weighing the possibility of keeping Cooper as anchor of the 10 p.m. EST edition of NewsNight while shifting Brown to anchor a new 7 p.m. edition of the show, which is now the home of Anderson Cooper 360. Brown had been anchoring the 10 p.m. NewsNight newscast as a solo act until early September, when CNN expanded the program to two hours to cover the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Coast region. Cooper, who has reported for extended periods of time from the road, has been a permanent part of the show after CNN decided to shelve its regular 11 p.m. repeat of Lou Dobbs Tonight. Now, according to sources, CNN is weighing the possibility of splitting up the show and giving Cooper the high-profile 10 p.m. slot. A CNN rep said that no final decisions have been made on the future of NewsNight. No matter what happens, neither Cooper nor Brown will be on the air for CNN this week. Both anchors are on vacation.

MSNBC is moving The Situation with Tucker Carlson to 11 p.m. ET to make way for Rita Cosby's new show and also open up a West Coast front in the cable news war. The former Crossfire co-host moved to MSNBC this year after a well-publicized break with CNN after Carlson said the channel wouldn't give him an 11 p.m. slot. The Situation arrived at MSNBC in June to ratings at 9 p.m. ET that haven't matched Fox News' Hannity & Colmes or even CNN's top-rated show, Larry King Live. But MSNBC president Rick Kaplan said Friday that ratings weren't a factor in relocating The Situation to the final of six hours of live primetime programming in cable news. Kaplan said and 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT live show has been in the plan since well before The Situation debuted. At that time, Fox News reruns The O'Reilly Factor and CNN airs Lou Dobbs Tonight for the West Coast.

NEW YORK -- Myron Kandel, a business journalist who has been with CNN since the network's beginning in 1980, will retire this month. Kandel will appear on CNN for the last time March 11, though he will remain with the network as a consultant. He's been a big part of CNN and CNNfn's business coverage since the start, particularly on CNN's Moneyline (now Lou Dobbs Tonight) and what had once been CNN's more than six hours a day on financial news during the heyday of the 1990s. Today, CNN devotes less time during the week on strictly business news, and CNNfn shut down in December amid a general decline in business news that happened after the dot-com crash. Kandel thinks there will be more at some point in the future, given the topic's importance to Americans.
