Aksel Hennie was one of the most know graffiti writers in Norway until he was arrested. He exposed his friends and was frozen out of the graffiti scene in Oslo. His experiences are the basis for the movie.
Two weeks after its premiere it had been seen by 150,000 people, an example of its huge success (Norway only has 4.5 million inhabitants).
Some of the events in the film is supposed to have taken place in the director's life.
