A high school slacker who's rejected by every school he applies to opts to create his own institution of higher learning, the South Harmon Institute of Technology, on a rundown piece of property near his hometown.
Instead of attending Harmon as mentioned in the movie, James Garfield actually attended Hiram College in Northeast Ohio. Garfield later went on to teach at Hiram and become the President of the institution.
Come again? No, really, come again. PLEASE come again!
In the first scene at the building that would become South Harmon, when Schrader jumps aside and shrieks, you can hear the scream before his mouth begins moving.
The last line in the credits segment "The Filmmakers Wish To Thank" reads, "And all the Students at South Harmon Institute of Technology".
