  • "Miss Congeniality" was a very funny and entertaining light romantic comedy that delivered funny moments because of it's creative plot and of course, the sexy-funny performance of the always talented Sandra Bullock.

But this sequel is a total mess with a clichéd plot, predictable situations, and not so funny characters. The addition of Regina King as a sidekick for Sandra Bullock worked most of the time but it wasn't vital to make the movie work.

The situations are not funny at all and it truly made me think I was watching an episode of .. I don't know, any standard sitcom.

But the best thing about the movie is Sandra Bullock's performance. She's always funny, smart. She's the perfect franchise actress that can save the day ANYTIME. Even if the movie is a total crap like this one.

Please only watch it if you are a huge, die hard fan of Sandra Bullock and you can stand trash like this; otherwise, please avoid it.

It's the attack of the bad sequels.
  • This following deals again about the FBI agent Gracia Hart(Sandra Bullock),nowadays is assigned by her chief(Ernie Hudson)for advertising the FBI.When she is traveling throughout the country along with the bodyguard agent named Sam Fuller(Regina King:Ray,Down of earth) are kidnapped her fried Cheryl(Heather Burns:Miss Congenialty I), Miss US, and Stan Fields(William Shatner). Then she decides to investigate by his own in Las Vegas and she knows to a rookie agent named Jeff Foreman(Enrique Murciano)deeply enamored of his sweetheart(Elizabeth Rom : Law and order)working for the local chief .Firstly she goes undercover to hotel Venice where finds a clues and makes an amusing confusion with Dolly Parton .But she investigates against the orders of local authority(Treat Williams:Everwood)using all the means to find the dangerous criminal.

The movie displays action, comedy, suspense and is pretty entertaining. This sequel appear similar characters as the first, thus her friend Heather Burns who she knew as a contestant in the Miss United States beauty pageant, William Shatner,Ernie Hudson but no Benjamin Bratt but the starring has broken with him.Sandra Bullock is sympathetic and funny though repeating her role as untameable tomboy agent.Regina King as her tough, brawny partner is likable. They form a peculiar duo ,making a special buddy movie.Lively, jolly musical score by Tongeren and atmospheric cinematography by Peter Menzies. The motion picture is correctly directed by John Pasquin. The film is diverting but not as bemusing as the first part. Rating : Agreeable and entertained. The picture will like to Sandra Bullock fans.
  • Sandra Bullock returns as Gracie Hart, the federal agent who went undercover at the Miss United States pageant four years ago. When the pageant emcee Stan Fields (William Shatner) and Miss USA (Heather Burns) are kidnapped in Las Vegas, Gracie needs to put aside her cushy lifestyle on the talk show circuit to go back into action, taking on a very unhappy new partner in Sam Fuller (Regina King).

Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous isn't as good as the original but it still manages to deliver some funny scenes. The original was a fun, harmless movie though nothing memorable. The sequel falls under the same category but it's not nearly as much fun as the first film. Actually, the fun factor is only seen in Bullock and King everything else was poorly handled. Sure there were some fun moments but certainly not enough to sustain the really long running time. Also, Michael Caine and Benjamin Bratt don't appear in the movie. I miss Caine since he was pretty funny in the first one. I don't really miss Bratt because he's not that good of an actor.

The acting is pretty good and it's the best thing the movie has to offer. Sandra Bullock gives a funny and enjoyable performance as Gracie Hart. Her charm is what carries this sequel and she proves to be a delight on screen. Regina King also gives a funny performance and she's a nice addition to the series. The chemistry between Bullock and King is great and their scenes together is what drives the movie. William Shatner and Heather Burns don't really do anything special. Diedrich Bader gives an annoying performance as Joel. Treat Williams and Enrique Murciano just play their roles as much as the screenplay allows it and they don't really do anything special.

I think the main reason why this sequel isn't as good as the original is because the premise is nearly the same. They could have been a little more creative with the story. Also, the original movie wrapped up nicely and it didn't demand a sequel. So, this movie seems like a cash in on a popular film and little time was actually spent on the script. The running time is 115 minutes and this could have been edited. There were a bunch of pointless scenes and the movie just doesn't contain enough fresh material to keep the film funny or interesting. Also, the film is very predictable and sitting through a long, predictable movie wasn't that much fun. I need to question the point of making a sequel. It seemed like a lazy attempt and the film was only average because of Bullock and King. In the end, this unnecessary sequel isn't really worth watching unless you're a fan of Bullock or King. Rating 5/10
  • "The reason for a sequel," says Bullock, "is that Marc (Lawrence, writer and producer) and I found ourselves on numerous occasions imagining what Gracie would have gone on to do after her big triumph at the pageant and how all the media attention would have affected her." Yeah. I'm gonna take a wild one and say the fact that the original made over $300 million (including domestic AND worldwide gross, rentals, and DVD sales) probably had a little something to do with it as well.

Let's be honest here, do you really need a review to convince you of whether or not you want to see this? Seriously, if you watch the trailer and read this review and STILL see the movie, then I don't want to hear any complaints. Walk out of the theater with a smile on your face or I'll put one there, OK? Otherwise, don't see it. Come on, you're not really expecting something fresh and original are you? Have you read the plot line? Miss Congeniality 2 obviously runs a predictable path. Gracie is originally reluctant to become Ms. FBI Barbie, but then she embraces the role and becomes a wee bit too wrapped up in it. But wait! William Shatner and Miss America are kidnapped! So it's off to Las Vegas to run a little PR. Enter Treat Williams as the Las Vegas FBI supervisor (Collins) who has ambitions of writing his own book and doesn't care for Gracie coming in and stealing his thunder. You might as well have cued the sinister music and given him a Cheshire cat to pet and a handlebar mustache to twirl.

It'll come as a shock to approximately three sub-70 IQ viewers that Collins disregards Gracie's attempts at helping and begins to steer the investigation in the wrong direction. You know what that means, right? Time for Gracie to shed the FBI Barbie image and go back to her old ways! Somebody call up Memento, and let it know that a new master of unpredictability is here and its name is Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous! OK, so not really. But who cares? The movie ramps up the cheese, the stupidity, the silliness, and the camp, and it revels in it. The best thing I can say about this sequel is it knows exactly what it is, it knows exactly what its audience wants, it knows exactly how ridiculously over-the-top everything is, and it doesn't care one whit what the critics think. There's no shame to be found here, and for that, I tip my hat.

I'll be honest, if you try to put a movie like this on the shoulders of Julia Stiles or Kirsten Dunst then I'm running screaming for the exit like I'm Haley Joel Osment at Neverland Ranch. But I love Sandra Bullock, and she has the charm and the personality to make me smile at the stupidest stuff. She trips about 24 times, dances at a drag club in a ridiculous outfit, lays a beatin' on a 6'7" behemoth to the tune of Spiderbait's Black Betty, and she forces me to be entertained by it. Admit it, she has a knack for making insanity absolutely adorable.

Oh, and who can forget the addition of a partner! Regina King (the girl from 227) is an FBI transfer with anger management issues. She's assigned as Gracie's bodyguard, and she has a bad habit of overextending herself physically. Yep, you guessed it, they don't initially get along. Can you see hijinks and shenanigans ensuing? I think you can! Is this a great movie? Not by any means. It's not even as good as the original, a big reason being that William Shatner is regretfully underutilized (although he does have a great line about his friend being run over by a milk truck). Oh, and go ahead and make sure you bring your little yellow bucket to puke in during the final scene. A producer somewhere obviously spoke up and said, "Hey, we're one aww-inducing scene short of our quota," and thus the final scene was born.

But you just have to accept that and the fact that this is a comedy that'll have you shaking your head and rolling your eyes more than once. In fact, I should be ashamed to admit that I let myself enjoy it as much as I did. But if you go into the movie expecting to have a good time then you should walk out satisfied. The screening audience absolutely loved it. Granted, proclamations such as, "That is the best movie I've seen this year!" are a bit much, but this is indeed a movie that knows its audience and plays to it effectively.

Are you expecting high art? If so, then you really need to learn how to better analyze movie trailers. You also need to learn how to better analyze movie titles. Armed and Fabulous? One of the great absolutes in life is any time a movie tries to be cute and makes a play on words with a common phrase (in this case, "armed and dangerous") in its movie title, then you better have a tent with you because mama, it's time to set up camp! The only thing missing here is a cameo by Adam West.

I think I'm gonna follow the trend. I'm gonna write a script about baseball called America's Pastime where the home team loses the championship. However, they will get their revenge in the sequel - America's Pastime 2: Payback's a Pitch. It's gonna rule. You know it, and I know it.

Bottom line, America - how often in life will you get the chance to see Sandra Bullock in boxers and a t-shirt, all while sportin' some long, shiny, straight hair? At the very least there is entertainment value in THAT! *sighs wistfully* Rating: 3 (out of 5)
  • I saw this movie at a special screening last night. While being a big fan of the first movie, I was fairly excited to see the second. After I saw it, I thought it was OK. Not as clever and original as the first, but still very entertaining. The second had a lot more laughs, slapstick, and funny bits...however I'd say it lacked in plot. EVERYTHING was predictable, and you knew what would happen the moment the movie started--not like in the first movie, which was more inventive and unpredictable to a certain degree.

Also, I was a bit disappointed with the cast (especially Benjamin Bratt not returning). Shatner, whom I looked forward to seeing, was hardly in it--so that was another disappointment. The other actors and actresses were OK. Sandra Bullock was great though, and she really held the film together with her comedic attitude. A 10 for her performance! Besides getting some very huge laughs from Diedrich Bader (who played Bullock's personal stylist),Shatner, and Sandra Bullock, there wasn't much else to offer in the acting department.

However I will say most of this movie was hilarious, even if it lacked in other things. I definitely recommend seeing it, as it will probably be the funniest movie of the year. If you're in the mood to see a very funny, laugh a minute-ride, you should definitely check it out in the theater! But don't get your hopes up for this being better than the first.

The first Miss Congeniality was decent "junk food" entertainment. My 12 year old daughter ranks it as one of her favorite movies.

We saw "MC 2: Armed and Fabulous" last weekend.

The sequel is just "junk". For the $31.00 I spent for my family of four, I felt robbed. Even my daughter made a "prune" face when I asked her if she liked it.

Sandra Bullock was very likable in the first movie. In this one, not so. Very little of the unsophisticated Gracie playing a beauty pageant contestant came through, and that made it a bore.

Last, and maybe most important, the absence of Michael Caine, Candice Bergen and Benjamin Bratt left three big holes that Sandra Bullock just couldn't fill on her own.

Don't waste your money to see it at the theater. If so compelled, rent it when it hits DVD.
  • This movie was not bad. This movie was not stupid. It was not a travesty. It was not a black mark. It was a sequel. And it filled that role quite well.

Sandra Bullock returned in Miss Congeniality 2, thankfully, and really completely saved it. There was a rumor going around that they weren't going to use her in the sequel, but luckily they realized their mistake. Ms. Bullock makes the show worth watching all by herself. Though she did have an OK ensemble to work with (particularly Heather Burns and Regina King), this is her show, and hers alone. Without her, it could easily have become all of the above listed things.

But it's not! It's really not bad, and has some genuine laughs along the way, with an especially funny drag queen scene. So, if you're a fan of the original, go see it. It won't compare to the first, and never could have, but it is still worth seeing. 5/10 stars for me.

  • Miss Congeniality 2 in my opinion, is just as good as the first movie. Sandra Bullock of course plays the same character, Gracie Hart, and she's just as likable and fitting for the role in this film as in the 2000 film. I also really liked Regina King here, she is very funny and tough, that's what her character is all about. She's tough as nails and won't take anyone's BS, but there are moments where that hard shell of hers is broken and we're able to see her warm fuzzy side, I liked the balance of both that we get to see at different points in the movie. The script is pretty average for this kind of film, but it still worked in my opinion. I liked how it contained plenty of good humorous material to laugh and have fun with, but then also contained good messages with heart. The action is just about the same in this movie as in the first one, which also worked well. Hey if it ain't broke then why fix it?? The drag show performance scene is very fun and enjoyable. Who wouldn't love Sandra bullock and Regina King singing Tina Turner with a bunch of drag queens?? And then the final thing I want to cover is the awesome and very crucial message that this movie proudly sends. The quote from Gracie Hart at the end of the movie is what I'm referring to: "some people may care about people who care about themselves, but I just don't care about those people" :). That is a wonderful very correct message for everyone. 7/10.

I gave this movie 2 stars out of 10. I would have given it a 1 but I enjoyed the first Miss Congeniality so emotion swayed me to give the movie an extra 1 star.

I had hoped the sequel would be as good or better than the first but it was not. The jokes were stale, the chemistry was non-existent and the story was uninteresting. This movie had none of the charm, story and chemistry as the first movie.

The story begins with our heroine, Sandra Bullock, coming off of the beauty pageant sting and suddenly finding fame. This however, hinders her ability to conduct her job since too many people now recognize her. Since the FBI needs some good publicity, they tap her for the job. She is given a female bodyguard, played by Regina King, whose character is almost the same as Sandra Bullock in the first Miss Congeniality. They go on a publicity junket until a friend of Bullocks is kidnapped and she goes and save the day.
  • You were all over town in bus ads for a long time, and I didn't care to go and see you in Miss Congeniality... I assumed it was just one more pretty face in a silly Hollywood comedy, and the same old scripts with funny gags about a Miss Something Contest! Now - I was so desperate for a comedy that I went to see Miss Congeniality 2, and after laughing all along as everybody else, I got it. You're a clever woman, and you produced the right film for me, possibly to a few million men and women more, too. I went to read reviews of both films, and good critics are right to point that the scripts are not outstanding, or particularly innovative; I'll add that a number of funny lines are not so funny, either. The way you say them, your acting, your personality, do the trick: you impose your inner sense of comedy on us, and we keep giggling. I'm sorry I missed your first venture as a producer, but to make amends I promise I'll buy the DVD set of the two films when they are out. I want to revive a number of excellent scenes, and keep it for my down moments...
  • Always carry a bowie knife if you've got a feathered tail.

This movie had moments. The woman who does the voice of Riley and Huey Freeman reluctantly portraying Tina Turner, with Sandra Bullock behind her moving her arms in a Tina-eque fashion – nice. The metatextualism of folks commenting on the Shatner's singing – nice. There was even a visual shout out to Star Trek's "The Voyage Home" that I found quite charming. The frantic car chase to save the victims with a dancer's feathered headdress streaming out of the skylight; good fun. I'm a sucker for a costume drama that involves fights and shiny things. And I do like the way Sandra snorts.

But . . . it just didn't cohere. It couldn't decide if it was supposed to be slapstick or comic drama; couldn't decide if it was absurdist or plausible. The lead's transformation into a glamor queen just wasn't psychologically or dramatically convincing.

There was true talent in this film. Real charisma. But it was lazy. One more hard edit of the script, and I think this could have been a fine film. But someone started filming before they had that final edit, and no one made up for it anywhere along the line.

I saw this at a special screening and was very pleasantly surprised. I'm not usually a huge fan of sequels, but this for what it is, is incredibly entertaining on its own merit. I love Sandra, so that may be one of the reasons I liked as much as I did, but that being said, the rest of the cast makes this without a doubt one, of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. This will definitely get a vote of must see from me to all. The movie goes quickly at the beginning, and then it slows - but it keeps you interested. Sandra and Regina are so good together. Wardrobe is GREAT! Sandra dressed as the old woman is hilarious and there are many other great costumes as well. The slow parts only help to make this a real movie. I will make this a definite repeat movie.
  • Sandra Bullock is back as Miss United States runner-up Gracie Hart in "Miss Congeniality: Armed and Fabulous," a 2005 sequel to "Miss Congeniality." Since the pageant, Gracie is now a celeb, to the detriment of her work. Undercover and trying to take down bank robbers, she's recognized by one of the bank customers. The Bureau decides that she would do better for them as the face of the FBI. Gracie hesitates until she is dumped by her boyfriend, Eric. Then she accepts, is assigned a stylist (Diedrich Bader) and a bodyguard, Sam Fuller (Regina King) and sent on the talk show circuit. However, when two people from the pageant, the reigning Miss United States (Heather Burns) and the host (William Shatner) are kidnapped, Gracie works to get them back, despite orders from the bureau and to the consternation of the head of the Las Vegas bureau (Treat Williams).

There are some very funny scenes in this, including the drag show that Gracie, Sam, and her stylist participate in, which includes King channeling Tina Turner and Gracie channeling Lucille Ball Gracie chasing a woman she thinks is a fake Dolly Parton who has info on the case, Gracie going undercover as a potential resident in an old folks' home.

I have to agree with one of the reviewers, on the shoulders of another actress, this thing would have died an early death. Because it's the always charming Bullock, who is likable and has a great turn with a line, the sequel manages to be amusing. It's not the worse sequel I've ever seen - I don't think it's as bad as Legally Blonde: Red, White, and whatever, for instance.

Nice performances from Eileen Brennan as Shatner's mother, King, Diedrich Bader, Shatner - it's well cast.

For me, the important thing about this type of film is that a) if you're not a fan of the star, you're going to hate it; b) if you're expecting Long Day's Journey into Night, you're going to hate it; and c) if you go in ready to take it for what it is - light as air, not very original, and with some talented people - you'll like it. I did.
  • Warning: Spoilers
I consider it one of the greatest tragedies in the history of the rom-com that this film was made. I unashamedly adore the first film, finding it funny, moving and endearing. So why would Sandra Bullock and Marc Lawrence want to systematically destroy everything that made the film memorable and enjoyable? For me, Miss Congeniality's strongest points were the great lovableness (is that a word?) of Gracie's character and the subtle sexual tension between Gracie and Matthews that simmers quietly throughout the film. But within the first 20 minutes of 'Armed and Fabulous' the relationship is no more, and Gracie has become a shrill and shallow version of her former self, showing little evidence of the classic Sandra Bullock charm. While I appreciate that these two events are supposed to be closely linked, and Gracie's appalling behaviour is apparently a direct result of being dumped, this is just not portrayed convincingly. While the idea that Gracie is a vulnerable and cynical character is effectively floated in the first film, the probability of her promptly losing all her feistiness and sense of self as a result of a fledgling relationship failing is 0.

The film has it's occasional saving grace in the odd funny line, but this without the magic ingredient of Sandra Bullock's charm is not enough to save it from its abysmal plot line.
  • Having looked forward for a long time to see this film finally released, my wife and I were not disappointed. Not only did Gracie pick up from the last story and run, there was a great enhancement with the addition of Regina King as "Sam" in the story. Gracie and Sam were incredibly different, but remarkably alike.

Of course, bringing back the majority of the original supporting roles & characters was excellent - as well as the tie-in to Eric with the tearful telephone break-up.

Do not hesitate to see this film, for you will be pleased with some great lines and equally-great physical humor. I believe that Sandra Bullock is developing a physical humor persona in the style of Lucille Ball.

Great job, Sandra. Now, if only you can get your personal life in some sense of order?!

After seeing the first film i was quite excited about watching the second Miss Congeniality. Disappointed is not the word.

This film spends most of its time recounting the previous story and then tries to keep going by showing you a useless plot and completely bizarre stunts.

Sure there might be a few funny jokes but seriously that's about it. The film lacks the brilliant comedy and plot of the first film and has a completely different tone. It's immature and the predictable storyline is boring. Especially the last scenes which are bordering on stupidity.

If you want to rent a light-hearted film do not choose this one it'll leave you wondering why you wasted your money.
  • The original was cutesy and fun, if kinda dumb. The women in my family LOVED the movie, and I found it watchable.

Fast-forward to yesterday... They took the likable main character, made us HATE her and removed any other goodness that could have possibly carried over from the other movie. They then stretched the sequel to 2 hours and 5 minutes of sloppy film-making in desperate search of an editor (maybe it needed a script writer and a director first).

It takes big balls to publicly complain about what was sure to be a bad sequel to a mediocre movie... and I have those balls. What a piece of crap.
  • P51Jay18 April 2005
Just horrible! No thought what-so-ever went into the script for this disaster. The writers were to capitalize on the success of M.C.1, only they thought they could just throw a series of disconnected events together with some whippy dialog and they would have a movie...(See Caddy Shack II). It is as disjointed as a train wreck! Skinny plot, never establishes the characters, weak motives, lame "brilliant deductions" (i.e. "She called them Pirates so they must have them at Treasure Island" or "You'll have to lean over me to shoot her, so..." sorry, I never understood what "brilliant deduction" this was supposed to evoke. It wasn't even funny. Sandra and Regina fighting? I'd rather watch Pee Wee Herman by himself!

I just got back from the pre-screening of "Miss Congeniality 2" (a friend and I got the passes from our university newspaper, we had to go to their office and sing the song from the first Miss Congeniality, that Gracie sings to Eric. Embarrassing, but hey, it got us a free movie!) anyway, it was much better than I thought it would be! When I first heard that Miss Congeniality 2 was coming out I was disappointed, because I really liked the original and was afraid that the sequel would ruin it, or detract from it. But it didn't, I actually enjoyed it and laughed out loud several times. Diedrich Bader does a very good job as Joel, Gracie's stylist. I think he'd be my favourite character. It was funny to see Abraham Benrubi as someone other than ER's Jerry. Anyway, I digress. All in all it was an enjoyable movie, not the best ever and not better than the original, but definitely worth seeing. I'd give it 6.5 or 7 out of 10.

    Awful
    Warning: Spoilers
Imagine every terrible sequel you could possibly think of...and they don't even come close to this one. This is incredibly poorly written. It got to a point where they should have started to make fun of themselves for making it. They introduced certain things such as a gambling problem to explain details in the story, but it lacks any importance...Sandra Bullocks search to discover the kidnappers was as exciting as placing a plate in a microwave with a hot dog on one side and bun on the other and watching it rotate around in the microwave trying to catch up with each other. DON'T SEE THIS MOVIE, even if you thought it'd be fun to go see it just to make fun of how bad it is...it's not worth it, it's too painful to sit through it. IT'S NEARLY 2 HOURS...1 HOUR AND 55 MINUTES TO BE CORRECT. No reason for it to be that long...no reason for this movie to have ever Existed!!!
  • Maybe I was just in a bad mood, but I didn't laugh one time during the entire movie. Other people did however, so maybe I'm just too old to know great humor.

The problem I had with the movie was its lack of development. One character was angry all the time and I never saw any explanation as to why. I didn't enjoy this person hitting others, attacking and injuring people for no reason. It's not funny. This caricature bothered me through the entire movie.

Secondly the plot really didn't make any sense. When you see it you will understand. The plot was contrived; made as a vehicle to deliver gags and jokes, only.

Thirdly, AND THIS IS SOMETHING GOOD: Near the end there is a moment, just a moment, where a kindness brings home a REALLY WARM AND FUZZY feeling. You will know the moment. For this one moment, the movie is worth the price of a ticket. I just wish they had developed the characters in such a way as to make it a cathartic moment and not just a surprise event.
  • I can only remember on other film that I have loathed more than this one, and that was the 1980's turkey 'Xanadu' featuring Olivia Newton-John. That is the only movie I have walked out of the Movie Theatre while there still was a good 30 minutes left of the film. Fortunately/unfortunately (take your pick) this film I rented at my local Video store when they offered three films for the price of two, otherwise I would forever be walking around with bruises on my legs from kicking myself for wasting money on something so hurtful and insulting to my intelligence and to my gender.

Okay, I have seen other films that have been bad, but I usually am able to find one or two redeeming facts about them that make me think that I have not totally wasted my time watching... If nothing else, I have at least been able to laugh at how bad they have been, but with this piece of trash, I cannot find a single positive thing to justify just throwing away a couple of hours of my life.

Sandra Bullock is no great actress, and the motive for watching a film featuring her have for me always been to see Sandra playing... eh... Sandra. Sandra is a beautiful woman that usually are able to give us, the audience, a few cute moments as she pulls her face and using her mimic to make us go, "aww" and "ohh". Sadly, she appears to have become a Botox addict as so many of her fellow Hollywood actresses, and throughout this film, all you get from her is bad acting and a stiff Barbie face with way too much make-up applied. On top of that, she plays an utterly obnoxious and unlikeable clone of Gracie Heart from the first 'Miss Congeniality' film, and I constantly find myself having to fight off the urge to throttle the character along with the director and the writers.

I really could rant on for quite a while about everything that is wrong and plainly insulting with this film, but I think I have already wasted enough precious time of my life on this rubbish. Therefore, I will not bother to mention the lack of plot, the total deficient of character development, the fact that this is a comedy that does not offer a single laugh, that this film has some of the worst casting in the history of films, and that this is a total turkey... No correction, this film gives turkeys a bad name.

I have learned my lesson the hard way, and after today, the name Sandra Bullock will never lure me into renting a video or trick me to walk into a Movie Theatre ever again.

If you are masochistically inclined, and the prospect of cringing for a couple of hours gives you a kick, then this is the film for you. If not, stay as far away from this as you possibly can.

Sandra, you owe me 115 minutes of my life back. Now, hand me the Lysol so I can rinse my eyes!
  • Sandra Bullock returns as FBI agent Gracie Hart in the second Miss Congeniality movie. Gracie has become well-known by the public after saving Cheryl Frasier (Heather Burns) at the Miss United States Pageant, where she was working undercover. Gracie is asked to become the face to the FBI, and give a positive face of the FBI by promoting her book on TV. Gracie has become a celebrity and is no longer a real FBI agent. Her friends from the pageant, Cheryl and Stan Fields (William Shatner) are kidnapped in Las Vegas, and Gracie wants to find them. Gracie is ordered by her boss to continue being the face of the FBI, while they find her friends. Gracie can't do that, so she starts her own investigation. Her bodyguard, FBI agent Sam Fuller (Regina King), and Gracie go undercover to find her friends, and the fireworks begin. If you liked the first movie, you will love this one. I think it is even better than the first, and Regina King steals the show with her part. There is much more action and funny scenes. I actually laugh through the entire movie. This is one cute chick flick where you can just sit back and enjoy. (Warner Brothers, Run time 1:55, Rated PG-13) (8/10)
  • Warning: Spoilers
The sequel to the smash hit comedy Miss Congeniality about an FBI agent posing as a Beauty Pagaent Contestent this movie continues the life of that Agent Hart. While not as good as the original this movie had it's moments that were a hilarious and yet irritating at the same time. I wasn't a huge fan of Agent Hart's attitude through the middle part of the movie. For those of you who loved the first they didn't quite make par on this one but you still need to watch it, as the movie progresses it definitely gets better so stick with it. The jokes in this sequel just didn't hold up to those of the original and the whole plot was just a little weak. I however did love the addition of a second female agent to the mix.
  • The FBI agent Gracie Hart (Sandra Bullock) is assigned to promote the FBI, touring with the brutal agent Sam Fuller (Regina King) as her bodyguard. While traveling around the country, her friend and Miss USA is kidnapped with Stan Fields (William Shatner), and Gracie decides to investigate the abduction in Las Vegas by her own and against the direct orders of local chief Collins (Treat Williams).

I am very disappointed with this sequel. The first "Miss Congeniality" was a funny movie, but this one is very silly indeed. There are few good moments when I laughed, but the story is horrible and corny, and the character of Sam Fuller is awful, being too much imbecile and stupid for my taste. I recently bought the two first seasons of "Star Trek" and I was also impressed how bad and finished William "Captain Kirk" Shatner is. I hope the producers be ashamed and do not release a "Miss Congeniality 3". My vote is five.

Title (Brazil):"Miss Simpatia 2 – Armada e Poderosa" ("Miss Congeniality 2 – Armed and Powerful")
