Jim Holliday was an Adult Entertainment historian of some influence, though I never bought into his pronouncements, preferring to make up my own mind. He later directed a number of videos, and this one is terrible.
He rounded up an impressive cast of femmes and then apparently fell asleep at the wheel. Part of the problem stems from his concept, which unfortunately became Conventional Wisdom in the industry to this day, that hot sex is what matters in a XXX film, and taking this notion toward the extreme accounts for the lack of narrative or characters in contemporary porn.
So the nominal story of sexy divas competing at a fashion house with everyone trying to impress the owner and buyers gets lost in favor of extraneous sex scenes. Casting is suspect as well, since ringers with huge fake tits like Kimberly Kupps, pleasing to their fans but inappropriate for their roles, pepper the call sheets, and some of the best performers are underutilized. Notably redhead Krista Maze. She's no superstar, but is far more interesting than many of the overexposed girls surrounding her.
Reflecting Holliday's industry prominence, he features All-time greats as guest stars, such as Veronica Hart and Nina Hartley, but the entire show is facetious and often explicitly making fun of those auteurs who take their work seriously, even having T. T. Boy rather obnoxiously tell the audience at home off at one point. Holliday and empty videos like this one have their following among that vast segment of fans who crave mindless entertainment, but count me out.
Among the silliness is the cop-out of an orgy scene, and an idiotic ladies' version playing the game of sexual Blind Man's Buff.
