A workaholic architect finds a universal remote that allows him to fast-forward and rewind to different parts of his life. Complications arise when the remote starts to overrule his choices.
The plot is similar to an episode of R.L. Stine's Goosebumps (1995) season three, episode five, "Click", in which a child orders a remote that controls not just the television, but the world around him. Not unlike Sandler's version of the story, the remote proves to be addictive and have dire consequences.
Your first day as a partner, you come to work in a fricking bathrobe.
Michael Newman: I - I did. I did. I - John, I just feel would should stop on wasting our energy on corporate brown nosing, and worrying who's got the better suit. Armani, Calvin Klein. Who cares?...
When Michael flashes back to the time he and his wife first kissed, Michael and everyone else seem to be wearing 80's attire. When Michael and Donna kiss the song "Linger" comes on, but that song didn't come out until 1993.
This movie is dedicated to my mom and dad, and to all our parents who never thought twice about putting their family first. And to my wife and daughter, thanks for making it so easy for me to do the same.
