A workaholic architect finds a universal remote that allows him to fast-forward and rewind to different parts of his life. Complications arise when the remote starts to overrule his choices.
On Michael's father's gravestone, it states he was born 1944, in real life Henry Winkler was born the year after, on October 30th, 1945.
Aunt Peggy, is that you? God, you got old.
Michael Newman: I'm just playing, she knows that.
Michael shouldn't have survived his heart attack and the subsequent recovery, because it should have been considered an illness - which the remote was "programmed" to skip. He should have immediately died before he had it, instead of soon after removing himself from life support.
The credits play over the "main menu" sequence from when Michael is selecting moments from his life.
