The scenes are typical Western ones
This story is strongly presented, but it is unfortunate in its beginning, as it depicts Broncho Billy as an outlaw and the subsequent scenes tend to make a hero of him. If his pal had fastened a crime committed by himself on Billy, the latter would have gained more sympathy. The scenes are typical Western ones, the most dramatic being the burning of the cabin and the final one where Billy has the squaw put a stop to his former pal's wedding. - The Moving Picture World, November 1, 1913
