  • I just happened to catch a screening of this at the Sarajevo Film Festival and I was absolutely pleasantly surprised. What a beautiful story and well thought out. This film was in competition with a film I was in and when it came down to the award ceremony, I was sweating because I thought this was a sure thing. For the budget the director had, he produced a little masterpiece. It all started with a good script/story, then came some wonderfully talented Albanian actors, and a highly competent director who captured the simplicity of an awkward situation in times of a confusing war where sides seem to change over night. I am also glad to see that the project was not abandoned in post production and the cuts in editing moved well. All and all, this is a film I would love to own in my collection and would be one that I highly recommend. But what it comes down to is this, I forgot I was watching a movie when I was watching it. I forgot I was sitting in a theatre even. Anti Brecht I know, but I thought it was great.
