  • Swarg Yahan Narak Yahan Directed By Vimal Kumar is A Family / Crime Drama. Script is Similar To Shakti Starring Dilip Kumar & Amitabh Bachchan With A Bit Of Alter Here And There. Screenplay is Just Fine To Be Precise. Dialogues & Action is Good. Editing is Weak. Music is Plus.

A.C.P Vijay Kumar(Old Mithun Chakraborty) Lives With His Wife Suman(Sumalatha).Several Years After Their Marriage, Suman Gives Birth To Baby Boy Suraj, And Both Shower Too Much Of Love And Affection, As A Result Suraj Grows Up To Be A Brat. Vijay Gets Upset And Enrolled Him In A Boarding School. Years Later Suraj( Young Mithun Chakraborty) Returns Home, At First Suraj Hates His Dad, But A Change Comes Over Him And He is Back On Track. Suraj Gets Married To His Sweetheart, Radha(Shilpa Shirodkar). After A While Vijay Acknowledge That Suraj is Working With Mafia Haveliwala(Gulshan Grover) And is Involved in Illegal Activities.

Acting Wise, Mithun As Suraj is Good in Parts. Mithun As Vijay Kumar is Brilliant & Praiseworthy. Comparing Mithun With Dilip Kumar is Insane But Mithun is On Par With Emotional Scenes. Sumalatha Does Well As Caring Mother And Helpless Wife. Shilpa Shirodkar is Left With Very Less Screen Time. Gulshan Grover As Usual.

Music is Good By Rajesh Roshan. "Phoolon Ka Dekho" By Amit Kumar is My Favorite Song. "Maine Tere Bahane" By Udit Narayan & Anuradha Paudwal is A Romantic Track. "Yeh Suraj Chand Sitare" Both Version Happy & Sad By Nitin Mukesh Are Fine Compositions.

Overall Must Watch For Mithun's Brilliant Performance.
  • This is quite Simply one of Mithuns Best Films. Mithun is not regarded as a Great Actor because of his series of Flops in the late 90s. Apart from Disco Dancer, Humse Hai Zamana, Zindagani, Pratigyabadh, Ek aur Sikandar and Phool aur Angaar. This is one of his Best Works. Mithun plays a double role father and son in this movie. The Father Mithun (Police) has a Child after many years, which causes his wife to love him se dearly. The Son gets too spoiled and slowly starts becoming very naughty. After the child becomes to much of a menace the father sends him to boarding school which causes the son to hate his father. The movie moves on to the son whos grown up (as Mithun) and is completely negative. Mithun delivers a Power house performance. The actresses are hardly there, Shilpa is sexy as usual and just there for the song and dance sequence. This is one movie to watch out for. Highly recommended.
  • Swarg Yahan Narak Yahan is a good film, but all you take home is an astounding performance By Mithunda. He plays the father with outstandingly, he plays the son amazingly.

The film talks about broken relationships, A father & his brat son. The film unfolds well, with Mithunda's mind-blowing performance.

This is a film that proves that Mithunda is one THE Finest Actor ever to step in Hindi Films. He plays both the parts, with great ease. You feel they are 2 different people. The 3-Time-National-Award-Winner delivers a performance of a lifetime.

    Take a bow, Mithunda.
