John Beckwith and Jeremy Grey, a pair of committed womanizers who sneak into weddings to take advantage of the romantic tinge in the air, find themselves at odds with one another when John meets and falls for Claire Cleary.
Isla Fisher used a body double for her nude scene. She told Entertainment Weekly that the film's producers wanted her to be naked for five scenes, but she managed to talk them down to just one. Fisher clarified that she thought that it was difficult for women to be funny once the audience had seen their breasts and thought that her appearing nude would compromise the comedic quality of her performance. The producers disagreed and deemed nudity essential for the plot.
I don't have custody of the kids.
Mrs. Kroeger: You know what?
Mr. Kroeger: I don't get custody.
Mrs. Kroeger: It is an insane pathetic joke, what I've had to go through.
Mr. Kroeger: Right now, right now, she doesn't know where the kids are, do you?
Mrs. Kroeger: Do not talk about me as a mother.
When John and Jeremy are having breakfast, Jeremy begins to put food on his plate and puts only a little bit on. The shot then changes to him and then back to his plate which is now loaded with food and it had only been about a second and his arm had barely moved.
The Unrated version for home video is ~7:30 minutes longer.
