    Warning: Spoilers
This is a fine film, a disturbing and touching look at gang life and the hope that remains in the human in spite of the ugliness and cruelty around it. A strong story with excellent acting and a moving musical score. The set is stark and realistic, bringing the audience into the depressing, desperate, subterranean world where Johnny must face a daunting challenge.

I hope this film reaches a wider audience, and that the director, Kai Soremekun, is given the opportunity to direct many more films. She has a sensitivity that is missing in so many movies today. "Lock Her Room" is a minor triumph.
