The random escapades of Stan Smith, a conservative C.I.A. Agent dealing with family life, and keeping America safe, all in the most absurd way possible.
Steve's original design was much geekier and gawky, and he was voiced by Ricky Blitt. Halfway through production, his voice actor changed to Scott Grimes, and his design was made to be more attractive, so he would be less comparable to Neil Goldman, from Family Guy (1998). This design is a caricature of Series co-Creator, Mike Barker.
Roger the Alien:
In a Time of Chimpanzees I was a Monkey!
Stan Smith: What?
When Roger goes through the Blorpher, the blood spatter is red when Roger is an Alien and does not have red blood.
Up to and including the 2007-2008 season, each episode would include a different Langley Falls Gazette headline, each of which was comical and satirical (examples include "President finally gets joke about last name" and "Israel pulls out of Gaza, Gaza not pregnant."
Up until the '08-'09 season, the opening credits featured a shot of Stan looking at a newspaper headline, which would be a joke headline relating to recent events. Episodes shown on Adult Swim have the headlines blanked out, leaving Stan looking at just white space. The credit sequence for new episodes for '08 - '09 eliminate this sequence altogether.
