A 31-year-old man is the latest treasure-seeker to disappear on the quest for Forrest Fenn’s gold.
Eric Ashby moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, in April 2016 in hopes of finding Fenn’s elusive treasure chest hidden in the Rocky Mountains, his sister, Lisa Albritton, told ABC News.
“I believe that something sinister happened…” she told the outlet. “I am looking for justice for my brother.”
Ashby isn’t the only nature-lover who has gone missing looking for the treasure-chest that has been hidden for over six years and contains $2 million in gold and jewels.

It's not long until Doctor Who takes its place again as a staple of Saturday night television. Peter Capaldi is back to helm the Tardis into his second run with Jenna Coleman's Clara by his side and in the two-part opener, Michelle Gomez makes her comeback as the Master's female incarnation, Missy.
At this year's Edinburgh television festival, an audience of fans were screened The Magician's Apprentice, the premiere episode written by Steven Moffat and directed by Hettie Macdonald. Following that there was a Q&A session hosted by journalist Andrew Collins with Moffat himself and fellow executive producer Brian Minchin in attendance. We nipped along with our trusty recorder and scarlet-lined Crombie coat to see what went down.

Have you read Don Winslow's remarkable open letter about the drug war? If so, then you've got some sense of the simmering anger that runs through his new novel, The Cartel, which is one of the most impressive books I've read this year. Dense, sweeping, and scathing in terms of pointing at all the systemic failures that keep a horrifying mechanism in place, The Cartel is worth your time, and it's worth a serious conversation, which is exactly what I had with him about a week before the book hit the shelves. He dialed me directly. I was at home, and as I hit record on the conversation, he was already mid-explanation about how long he's been working on telling this particular story, which arrives just as this conversation seems to be heating up onscreen (the documentary "Cartel Land") and in real life. Don Winslow: … when I started...

Ex on the Beach was back tonight and it might only have been episode two, but we got naughty bed behaviour (and post-naughty bed behaviour regrets), blonde on blonde rowing, and even some tactical vomiting. Hooray! Read on for the 6 things we learned this week...
1. Some people say "Yolo" out loud.
Thanks for this, Connor's ex Megan, whose introductory video included the phrase: "I may look like the girl next door, but don't underestimate me - Yolo!" I mean, it doesn't even really make sense in that context, so we don't know what she was on about. Can we please have a moratorium on "Yolo" now? (And "banter", preferably, but we're fighting a losing battle on that one.)
2. Sometimes people fight over men who really aren't worth fighting over.
Look, we're pretty openly not Connor's biggest fans after last week's "moist" and "sore fanny" and "smashing" talk, and we didn't...

Wildlife film-maker and natural history broadcaster who worked for the BBC
Jeffery Boswall, who has died of cancer aged 81, helped to cultivate the BBC Natural History Unit's global reputation for wildlife film-making. The popular children's series Animal Magic, which began in 1962, gave Boswall his first TV experience as a producer and director after working in radio. The series' presenter Johnny Morris – dressed as a zookeeper for the filmed inserts – had a gentle, humorous style and put words into animals' mouths by mimicking what he envisaged them to be saying. Gerald Durrell was also a presenter of the early programmes.
Boswall then worked on Look, presented by Peter Scott, the renowned conservationist and leader of ornithological expeditions worldwide. The Private Life of the Kingfisher (1966), one of the episodes he produced for the wildlife series, was the Natural History Unit's first programme to be broadcast in colour. Filmed over a year on the river Test in Hampshire,...

Chicago – Blu-ray was made for nature documentaries like “Born to Be Wild” and “Frozen Planet,” both recently released on the HD format and on DVD. As “Chimpanzee” plays in theaters and “Frozen Planet” still holds places in some DVRs since its Discovery Channel airings, nature documentaries seem to be as big as they’ve ever been. Both of these are strong entries in the popular genre.
To be fair, they serve different purposes. “Born to Be Wild” is more for the little ones or the whole family with its G rating and sweet focus on the positive impact that we humans can have on the natural world. Where “Born to Be Wild” is a perfect entry for kids with short attention spans (the IMAX movie runs 41 minutes), “Frozen Planet” is for those looking for something a bit more dense and challenging (you could fit “Born” into its running time of...

First off, I have to tell you that this page may load slow. We're making an awful lot of calls to the Amazon Api here, and that's bound to monkey with things. If you have no idea what that means... it's shiny. Please note also that, for the same reason, you may find, depending on traffic, that not all of the Amazon details will load properly. I apologize for that, it's just the nature of the beast, and the fact that the Api wasn't really meant for such things. If you refresh, it will probably fix.
You may have heard me mention this giveaway quite a while ago, and it's taken me a long time to figure out what sort of format to put things in, and I kept added things. Eventually it became too much to really give any kind of run down on the items, so I decided...

You can call Ioncinema.com the "all things Attenberg channel." We profiled Athina Rachel Tsangari in our special American New Wave 25 series, we've updated you with films stills, we've highlighted how her film was selected at Venice and Tiff, and now in preparation for Venice (which officially begins today with the Black Swan reviews) we have the poster one sheet for Attenberg. I think the inspiration for the one sheet comes from the last line of the synopsis after the poster jump. Look for further coverage at Tiff. Marina, 23, is growing up with her architect father in a prototype factory town by the sea. Finding the human species strange and repellent, she keeps her distance. Instead she stubbornly observes it through the songs of Suicide, the mammal documentaries of Sir David Attenborough, and the sex-ed lessons she receives from her only friend, Bella. A stranger comes to town and challenges her to a foosball duel,...
