  • Warning: Spoilers
Little slice of Indie UK cinema with a few surprises along the way. Follow a group of misfits as they make their way from Bristol to Cornwall on a run to the sun with a shoestring budget. Plunge contains a nostalgic soundtrack echoing the carefree nature of guys out looking for adventure, fun and something more lasting, and that its a rocky road with twists and turns. It reminded me in ways of Big Wednesday but under a much much shorter time frame of them on their journey of love. The surfing footage adds great visuals and the actors appeared to actually learn to surf to make the film. The story takes a while to get going and occasionally looses its momentum but does get back on track. Its interesting to watch, not perfect, and unusual to see a British surf film!
