A lawyer takes on a negligent homicide case involving a priest who performed an exorcism on a young girl.
The cinematographer hung a camera on a rope to get some of the odd angles. They called it the "string cam."
It scared the hell out of me.
When Father Moore recites the Lord's Prayer he incorrectly quotes a line as "Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heavenly", so substituting "heavenly" for the correct word "heaven". "Heavenly" is nonsensical in context and not an error a priest would make.
Opening statement: This film is based on a true story.
US Blu-ray is missing subtitles for the various languages Emily speaks during the exorcism scene. These were present in the theatrical version, and also on the unrated DVD.
