The term "skinjob", used to describe any of the humanoid Cylon models, is a reference to the movie Blade Runner (1982), in which Edward James Olmos also starred (and suggested Tricia Helfer watch to help her prepare) and the Nexus 6 models are described by the same moniker.
Commander William Adama:
The colony called Sagittarion in the miniseries is called Sagittaron throughout the series.
The second season added the line "47,875 survivors in search of a home called Earth" in the opening sequence starting with Episode #2.1 "Scattered" and decremented it in every subsequent episode based on how many characters were killed off in the previous episode (or occasionally, as when the Pegasus returned, increasing it when the population increases).
