A security specialist is forced into robbing the bank that he's protecting, as a bid to pay off his family's ransom.
Virginia Madsen received a message on her cell phone from Harrison Ford, who was offering her a part in the movie. Madsen thought it was a practical joke at first.
When Jack is driving his Chrysler to work early in the film, his steering wheel clearly has the shiny wooden insert/top featured in the more expensive models. Later in the film, he is seen driving behind an all leather wheel which shows no reflections.
Warning: Spoilers ahead. In the last scene of the theatrical version, Jack Stanfield, his wife and son are shown in a closing profile shot walking up a hill and it fades to black. In the DVD version, it ends with an extra scene in an overhead crane shot of two police cars arriving while the family is walking towards them.
