  • Tyce Bune and Lezley Zen are the night managers at a posh hotel in Stuart Canterbury's "Behind Closed Doors", an effective Couples Romance film from Adam & Eve. It's not at the classic level of earlier releases from the venerated label, but avoids the verging-on-all-sex junk that was to follow.

The hotel format lends itself nicely to a vignette structure, as various guests have sex leading to the inevitable final scene of otherwise cool & aloof employees Bune & Zen coupling after hours on the hotel bar.

Before that foregone conclusion, superstar of the future Jessica Drake has photogenic outdoor nighttime sex by the pool with Cheyne Collins (reprimanded briefly by officious Bune for violating house rules), and bride Mia Smiles services her groom Chris Cannon in the elevator (how romantic!). I guess if the show were set in a hotel in Dubai maybe they could qualify for the Mile High club.

A bit of comic relief is supplied via a subplot of Evan Stone portraying a stereotypical rock star staying at the hotel, who has sex with teen groupies Jackie Moore and Alisson Wyte along with his assistant, Euro import Tristan Seagal.

Zen and Bune's acting is especially fine, proving once again that attention to acting performance is a plus in Adult Cinema, not the distraction that today's believers in wall-to-wall action postulate.
