PG-13 | | Action, Adventure, Fantasy
The mythical world starts a rebellion against humanity in order to rule the Earth, so Hellboy and his team must save the world from the rebellious creatures.
This movie features creatures called "tooth fairies", similar to the movie Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (2010), written by Guillermo del Toro.
Professor Trevor 'Broom' Bruttenholm:
My son, would you turn off that wretched puppet, and brush your teeth?
Young Hellboy: Don't call him a puppet!
Professor Trevor 'Broom' Bruttenholm: I beg your pardon?
Young Hellboy: He's not a puppet! Howdy Doody's real!
Professor Trevor 'Broom' Bruttenholm: Well, Mr. Dee-dee Doo-doo will have to say good night.
Hellboy is normally pretty big. His arms are big, his non-rock hand is bigger then a normal human hand, and his chest is wider then a normal humans. However when he is watching the news shirtless his body is normal sized. It's almost like they forgot to put on the fake muscles and just painted Ron Perlman red. The biggest tell tale sign of this is when you are looking at his arms. They seem like twigs compared to how he looks in the rest of the movie, and when he lifts his rock hand the arm/wrist that supports it looks too thin to actually be able to support it.
There are no opening credits. The film's title is formed out of red-hot metal by clockwork machinery.
