TV Series | TV-14 | | Drama, Mystery
An antisocial maverick doctor who specializes in diagnostic medicine does whatever it takes to solve puzzling cases that come his way using his crack team of doctors and his wits.
Though other characters occasionally insinuate that Dr. Chase is a bit dim, he actually comes up with more correct diagnoses than any other supporting character over the course of the series.
Dr. Gregory House:
Trouble in paradise. 2 o'clock.
Dr. Wilson: Wait, your 2 o'clock or my 2 o'clock?
Dr. Gregory House: Over there!
Though this is probably intentional, to create a more visually striking scene, the show quite literally never correctly depicts the proper treatment for a flatline. Flatlines are treated with medication and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), not a defibrillator. Defibrillators are used to correct irregular heart rhythm (fibrillation) -- not the complete absence of one.
