The living dead have taken over the world, and the last humans live in a walled city to protect themselves as they come to grips with the situation.
Asia Argento (Slack) is the daughter of noted Italian horror filmmaker Dario Argento, who was the co-producer and co-composer of one of the previous entries in George A. Romero's zombie series, Dawn of the Dead (1978).

Towards the end of the film when Big Daddy pours the gas in Kaufman's car, the gas pump is never cut on and is visible with the lever 'off' in all shots.
The old mid-1930s Universal Pictures logo begins the film.
To secure an M18 rating in Singapore, two scenes needed to be axed. The first being the scene where a zombie stomps on the head of another, and the second depicting the decapitation of a zombie towards the end of the show. The uncut version is rated R21.
