Mark Bittner : I used to think the native birds were really boring. I didn't even think about them. I never noticed them. And now I always see them, I always see what they're doing. And I see that just like the parrots they have personalities too. I mean, they have their own particular lives. There are even quail here in the city. I've noticed that mourning doves, which looked very stupid to me, if you get at just the right angle you can see the pupil, and then you get a different idea of what they are. I was looking for something that I could really get into. I didn't expect it to go this far.
