When Simon Pegg's character is running towards The Hole in the Wall, he briefly looks up and the camera shows the sign for the pub, but it is partially obscured so that only "The Wall" is seen. He then barrels through a hedge and makes it to the pub. This is a reference to a scene in Run Fatboy Run which also stars Pegg. In that movie, his character is running a marathon and eventually has to get past "the wall", a figurative obstacle where runners have to get past their mental and physical fatigue in order to complete the marathon.- While talking to Hector (Simon Pegg), Clara (Rosamund Pike) checks the list for August, possible names for a product related to erectile dysfunction.
